GreatSolo stay
Good accommodation. In process of being redecorated some inconvenience but otherwise all ok.
Would have appreciated safety handles to assist in and out of the bath.

GoodStayed with friends
Property definitely needs some TLC. Lack of air conditioning was a problem in August.
Included breakfast in the morning was fine. Rooms were clean but peeling paint, etc. it was quiet.

GreatStayed with partner
Unfortunately it was a very hot time when we visited which meant the rooms were extremely hot - even with the fan provided. I appreciate that the hotel could not do much else to change this, apart from a large scale air con installation which would be a large undertaking.
Breakfast was a little lacking in quality - although the options were suitable it was a little tired when selecting food items - both mornings we were down between 8-8.30 and the hot buffet looked like it had been out some time and the quality of the product was therefore disappointing.
The staff were pleasant and helpful. There has clearly been improvements made to freshen the hotel up and it felt clean and bright despite it being an older building. We did not use any of the other hotel facilities to be able to comment.
Parking was not really viable at the hotel however we found the car park multi storey at the back and towards the seafront - operated by gunwharf very good and reasonably priced.
I would return - just hope the bfast would be ok!

Great The public areas are spacious and comfortable
My room was spacious with everything you would expect from a high end hotel.
My only caveat would be that air conditioning ought to be considered as the summers are having longer hot spells.
The bar was very pleasant with good service and the breakfasts were excellent.
All the staff I had contact with were courteous and helpful.

Fantastic Our room was spotless. The staff was incredible. The area we stayed in is currently being renovated but I’m positive it will look wonderful when completed. The restaurant and bar were both had inviting atmosphere and amazing staff.

Good The reception was lovely.
We were in the west wing, the rooms were very tired and need doing up, though they were clean and thats important, the hotel is in the process of of a makeover in the west wing area but that just seemed to be the corridors, hopefully the rooms will follow.
No fridge in the room which is a shame as the room was spacious and could've accommodated one.
They need air con in the rooms as it was unbearable getting ready , you needed a shower again straight after getting dry as it was so hot even with a small portable fan.
The breakfast was alright.
Reception staff were lovely, very helpful.
Location was great for the historic dockland area and a 10 min walk to Gunwarth Quays.
Limited parking bays, so be aware of that.
It's great if you're on a budget.

Great Room was nice and clean. My stay was during a heatwave so room was too hot (no a/c) however a fan was provided which was helpful. Breakfast was good. A few upgrades would have made it excellent (e.g. something besides "basic" bread and bottles of ketchup rather than just an open bowl of it on the side). Staff were very pleasant ad helpful. Nice and close to Royal Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays

Good Nigh on 30 degrees outside and unfortunately the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. It was stifling. Hotel was very quiet and ideal for town centre and victory museum.
