Our short stay in this hostel was great value for money and totally worth it. The room was clean, and the location was perfect—close to both the bus stop and subway station, making transportation very accessible. Although we already knew there was no elevator, it was still quite inconvenient going up and down the stairs, especially with multiple pieces of luggage. Overall, it was still a great stay, especially with the breakfast provided!

a practical place for a short stay in seoul. the location is accessible to almost all go to areas in seoul. hostel staff are helpful, friendly and nice. it helps that they can speak and understand english. we also did not expect the toilet to be that presentable, thus made our stay a good one. thank you so much. ☺️

My family had a great stay at Star Hostel. The place is very clean, and the rooms and common areas are well taken care of. The staff really stood out — their customer service was excellent, and they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The free breakfast was a nice touch and convenient before heading out for the day. The location is perfect, close to transportation and many places to explore.There’s no elevator, which could be challenging if you have heavy bags, but the receptionist kindly offered to help carry our luggage. That level of service made a big difference. We would definitely stay here again.

I arrived in Seoul at midnight and had informed the hostel in advance about my late check-in so they could leave my keys ready. They were very responsive and accommodating throughout my stay, even answering my random questions about the neighborhood, as well as the nearest bus and train stations.
Getting to the hostel required about a 15-minute walk when I arrived. While this may be a bit inconvenient for some, I personally didn’t mind. The space was comfortable enough for a solo traveler like me and came with basic amenities, including heated flooring. They also serve a decent breakfast.
It’s true that the bus stops and train stations are only about a 3–5 minute walk away, and Gwangjang Market is also nearby. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this place, especially for solo travelers looking for a simple and convenient accommodation option.

Easy access to the subway and bus stations. There are plenty of local restaurants and convenience store in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and smells good.

The location is great! Near bus stops and train (less than 5 min walk). Nice to CU convenient store. Room is spacious. No elevator. Can request second floor room if with heavy luggage.
