GoodSolo stay
Location, location, location. The motel is clean and basic, but the location to Istanbul’s key sites isis difficult to fault.

We paid a premium for a Premier Suite. The ‘suite’ was two average, separate rooms next to each other, and there was nothing ‘premier’ about either room - or the hotel…. it needs updating. We had an open drain smell in the bathroom, dirty and threadbare carpet, cracked and broken furniture and floor skirting…. Just all a bit disappointing and underwhelming.
The roof terrace/restaurant has a fabulous view, but no internal area, so eating outdoors is the only option.
Location okay but I would book elsewhere for us next time.

FantasticStayed with friends
Overall, the hotel was good. Our room was a bit small, but it was functional and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the rooftop area was under construction during our stay, so we weren’t able to enjoy it. However, it may already be completed by now. Other than that, we had a pleasant experience

I was able to stay 3 nights at this hotel and I had to switch rooms. The first room was amazing, very well-furnished especially the bathroom. However the last night was bad because we were switched to an older section of this hotel where the table was cracked, leaking in the hallway, and peeled off paint from the wall. The bathroom was also old and dirty. The windows were right next to the street which was very noisy. Also, the elevator was so small and they could only go up to 4th floor and you had to walk the stairs to get to the room. If you have older folks, I would not suggest. On the other hand, the staff were mostly nice however I would not recommend eating at the places they recommended because they were all overly priced and food was bad.

The staff at the Amira was amazing! Prior to our arrival, they had arranged a shuttle to and from the airport, a fabulous private guide for one day and a sunset cruise on the Bosporus with transportation there and back. They were very flexible regarding payment in various currencies. They were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and so are the dinner meals. The hotel is located close to the major attractions in the old city. We were sorry that the terrace was closed.

GoodStayed with family · For friends and family
Excellent location since it's walking distance the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and other tourist site. However some parts of the hotel weren't well maintained and felt outdated. I also needed to walk the stairs to another building after taking their elevator. The staffs were helpful and nice. However I would NOT suggest to eat the restaurants they recommend.

The location to sightseeing is excellent. We can't say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff are. Front desk provided help numerous times, from dinner suggestions to directions to our restaurant I'd booked 1 hour away by ferry. Nice room and decent breakfast offered in the morning. Would recommend to fellow travelers and would stay here again.
