GoodSolo stay
Unfortunately, I had a room with a very bad smell of damp and there was lots of mould all over the walls and ceiling near the windows.. other than this, it was ok

GoodStayed with partner
Carpet & furniture in room; numerous stains, along with 'marks' on walls & doors. Breakfast, slightly disappointing.
The chopped fresh fruit bowl contained 'apples' going brown, contained only; apple, x2 type of melon & pineapple. No oranges, grapes or grapefruit.
The 'Hot' english choice (bacon, scrambled egg, mushroom, tomato, sausage, hash browns only 'loop warm'
Coffee machine was awful.
Disappointed given its a 'Hilton' ! Have had better Travelodge & Premier Inns !

FantasticStayed with family · For friends and family
This is a lovely hotel, with very well equipped rooms for disabled guests. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.
For those with a blue badge, only 2 spaces outside can be an issue at times, when there are more guests with blue badges than can be accommodated. For other drivers, they should be advised they will have to park in the car park opposite at a cost of £5 per day.
The breakfast was good but always a bit cold. Disappointing not to be able to get anything different, such as sandwiches, at lunchtime, but only the same menu as in the evening.

FantasticStayed with kids
The facility is satisfactory and provides excellent value for money, which is particularly advantageous for swimmers competing at the Sunderland Aquatics Centre.

Was allocated a disabled room on ground floor. Really uncomfortable bed - felt every spring in the mattress had no sleep. Room also smelt of cigarettes. Really poor quality food and the beer tasted like it was off. Would not return.

Be aware of a lack of ventilation. Stayed for three days. The bathroom extraction did not work meaning water vapour build up in the room. Condensation covering the windows and wet walls with black mould.
Potentially a health hazard.

GreatFor business
Modern hotel well kept. Disappointing staff service as a football match was on. Hotel bar tried to close early, expensive for a basic service level. But would probably stay again as amenities where good. Not cheap for what it is.
