Place, it's great if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing time, and if you are ok with booking activities offered by the resort on the island. Otherwise, you will have to pay for transportation every time a boat is needed, and you will have to coordinate with other boats and jump from one to the other in the water, which could be fun, scary, or impossible for others. Just be aware. Plus, of course, you will have to pay both sides to do that for you. And there is a schedule: if your activities end too late after 6pm, you will have to book a place on the mainland to stay, and good luck getting a taxi if you don't book in advance! Best sunrise I have ever seen! Tho! Also, be aware of the food that is limited to what they offer.

Great
Nice location with good snorkeling all around the island. Beautiful area. Lovely staff. The rooms were a bit dated but the bed was comfortable and it was nice to have air conditioning. The food was ok. The vegetarian options were quite good. I loved having a little beach right outside my bura. All in all a nice stay. Vanaka!

Bula We can't say enough positive about each and every staff member. They are all friendly, helpful, never make any request feel like a burden and know your name from the minute you arrive. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar has limited selections but okay. We were disappointed that there was 1 menu for each meal and it never changes. As we were in there in the low season, the buffet and traditional cooking night were not available. Food was prepared fine but lacked seasoning. There are no between meal options, fruit etc, available. If you like to snack, bring things with you. The common areas really need some updating. The staff do the best with what they have, but the owner needs to put some money into paint, replacing pool decking and cushion etc. This resort is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, you take one boat from the marina and then have to change to a smaller tender boat to take you to the beach as there is no dock. The ocean access from your Bure is very rocky and the sand coarse, recommend bringing water shoes. We loved the staff singing to greet you and send you off.

The staff was excellent, however the resort needed repairs, and several things in our room did not work. We finally moved to another room. Also, the availability of food and drinks was a challenge.

Not an overstimulating environment with some activities available. Loved the wooden slats on the windows. Not crowded.

Solo stay · For leisure

The Island is quiet with only the hotel for meals. The staff were amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and no effort was spared to please from Wee in management to Peli teaching us the history of the culture. The breakfasts were more than adequate with hot and cold foods, fruit, toast, banana bread, cereals of many varieties. The day/Evening menu could do with variation but presented well. Drinks/cocktails change daily. I absolutely loved the island as a single adult. For children it is lacking. They have snorkeling, canoes, padel boarding and a variety of daily programmes from fish and turtle fishing, cookery, island hopping language lessons etc. Serenity by name and serene it surely was.. I will definately return. Great introduction to Fiji. A must if you just need chill and recharge your batteries.

TV didn't work the whole time I was there. No one could fix it. Waited three days for a replacement hairdryer. If I didn't ask again I would have never got it. Some cash and shoes stolen. Food is terrible and over priced. Lady at the restaurant not friendly and it looked like I was a burden to her. Facility run down and broken. Not a good experience. Some of the other travelers agreed.
