My second stay and will come back again. Spacious rooms, beautiful eclectic decor, lovely breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Front desk not manned 24/7 but can’t beat the location and charming vibe!

Pros: The hotel is in a great location. It is very beautiful and quaint. The breakfast each morning was wonderful. Very small selection, but everything was tasty. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom is small, no counter space and the lighting is terrible. Cons: the staff is only in the hotel until 8:30 PM. If you have any emergency or need assistance after they leave, they will charge you a $50 service charge. In the USA, that is not OK. The hotel is extremely noisy at night. The local people hang out right outside the hotel. They drink beer, break bottles, yell, and shout, until all hours of the night. There’s no security at this hotel so that’s why these late night thugs come here to cause trouble. We couldn’t sleep at all for six nights. This is also not OK in the USA. I would only return to this hotel if they staff the front desk 24/7 and have security to protect the customers from the noise and the unsafe situation at night. I would be very cautious if anyone is considering booking this hotel.

This small hotel was a wonderful place to work from during our stay in Florence. The location was good, right at Santa Croce, the building and rooms were fresh, although maintaining the feel of connection to previous centuries, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not participate in the breakfast offering, as it did not appear very enticing. We would stay here again.

Excellent choice. The property is beautiful and perfectly situated in the heart of Florence; walking distance to some of the main attractions and best restaurants. Would definitely start here again.

Had a fantastic stay. Room was lovely and located just steps from Basilica Santa Croce with an abundance of fantastic restaurants and shopping close by. I would definitely recommend and will return early next year as I adore Florence❤️

I loved my stay at Maison Santa Croce. It is easy to get to; the taxi left me right at the door. The staff at the reception were nice and welcoming, and explained the details of getting in at night, including the codes, perfectly well. The property is beautifully decorated, it makes you feel that you are in someone's Pallazzo. My room was very spacious (plenty of room for my luggage). It had two windows, being a corner room, so in the morning, it received a lot of light. However, the shutters provided a complete blackout at night. The street is quiet, even though it is a block away from Santa Croce Square. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options: cheeses, meats, salmon, avocado, boiled eggs, fruit cereals, granola, many different kinds of savoury and sweet bread, spreads, and they made wonderful cappuccinos. I could not recommend enough that you choose to stay at this place on your visit to Florence, and the area is beautiful and also quiet. Most certainly would stay again.

This was our second time staying in this beautiful building (though under a different hotel name previously), and once again it did not disappoint. The service was exceptional—the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. We especially appreciated the clear instructions for parking, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Our room was spotless, with fresh ironed bedsheets that made the stay feel extra comfortable. Breakfast was included—while the selection wasn’t extensive, it was perfectly sufficient for a light start to the day. And with so many incredible restaurants nearby in Tuscany, you’ll never run out of great dining options anyway! We truly enjoyed our stay at Maison Santa Croce and would be happy to return again. Highly recommended.
