Very Disappointing Stay – Dirty Room, Bugs, No Towels, and Poor Customer Service
I stayed at this hotel for one night during my visit to Makkah, primarily because of its convenient location near Masjid Al-Haram. Unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing.
The room was poorly maintained, and the bathroom was extremely dirty. I also noticed bugs in the restroom, which is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene standards. Cleanliness should be a basic priority for any hotel, particularly one serving pilgrims visiting the Holy Mosque.
No towels were provided in the room. When I contacted reception, I was told that I would have to wait until 10:00 AM, when the housekeeping staff arrived. This was not an acceptable response, as towels are a basic necessity that should be available upon check-in.
The housekeeping was inadequate, and the reception staff were neither helpful nor responsive. Rather than resolving the issue, they offered excuses and failed to provide a satisfactory solution.
Although the hotel’s proximity to the Haram is convenient, its location does not make up for the poor cleanliness, presence of bugs, lack of essential amenities, and unsatisfactory customer service.
I would not stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it to other travelers or pilgrims. Management should take immediate steps to improve housekeeping, hygiene, room readiness, and guest service.
