Things to do in Okinawa Prefecture

I booked a Kerama Islands snorkeling plus sea turtle swimming package via Klook, with Miegusuku Port as the meeting point. I self drove so I did not use the provided pick up service, and parking at the port is chargeable. Check in started around 8.20am. Onboard, all equipment such as wetsuits, masks, fins, and life jackets were provided, along with a safety briefing and optional add ons like banana boat rides, jet ski activities, and GoPro rental. The boat reached the snorkeling site in about 20mins, where we entered the water in guided groups. After an initial session and a short break on the yacht with tea provided, participants split into different activity groups. The sea turtle experience involved a short banana boat ride to a nearby spot, where staff first checked for turtles before we snorkelled in the area, followed by additional free snorkeling nearby. We returned to the yacht around 11.00am and arrived back at port at about 11.50am, with equipment cleaned on board.

I booked the Blue Cave snorkeling activity thinking my two boys would like it, and they said it was the most fun they had on this trip to Okinawa! It was everyone's first time snorkeling, so we were nervous going in, but the Korean instructor was with us from beginning to end, so we were able to participate with peace of mind. The waves were choppy, so I was a little worried about getting seasick on the boat ride, but the moment we encountered the Blue Cave, we were constantly amazed by the mysterious fish and scenery in the blue sea! The Blue Cave is really the best! It was an unforgettable experience! 👍👍👍

experience: Our family of four booked the snorkeling small group via Klook Okinawa pass 3 days before we arrived because it was Golden Week and fills up fast. It was definitely worth the pre-planning and booking. It was our kids ages 7 & 9 first time snorkeling so safety and a certified instructor was a must for us. We had a fantastic instructor who was so patient with our kids and made it lots of fun. He even gave us food to feed the fish and took photos and videos for us to have as keepsakes. They will provide wet suits and shoes and snorkel equipment. Just bring a towel, and 200 yen for a shower and a change of clothes/shoes. We loved this and highly recommend it!

We recommend adding them on Line beforehand. Then, use the Google Maps link on your booking confirmation to drive to the destination parking lot. You'll find their company's small van at the exit. The instructor is very hospitable and speaks English. The underwater scenery is beautiful with lots of fish, but it might have been a bit crowded since it was a Saturday.

Booking through Klook is convenient: I recommend purchasing tickets in advance from Klook. You won't have to wait in line to buy tickets, and the price is slightly cheaper than walking in. The aquarium itself isn't very large, but you can walk around until you reach the dolphin show (you can watch the show without scanning your ticket) and the turtle tanks. It's a decent distance and well worth it. The staff provides excellent service, with both Japanese and international employees available to answer our questions.

First-time flight experience with a 4-month-old baby ✈️👶🏻 This was our first international trip with our four-month-old baby, and we chose the 3-in-1 package. This type of package is incredibly flexible for families traveling with young children 👍🏻 We only planned 1-2 activities per day, keeping a relaxed pace so we could always consider the baby's energy levels. It never felt too rushed, and I highly recommend it to parents who want to travel with their infants! 1. Churaumi Aquarium 🐠: The three of us enjoyed watching various aquatic animals and the dolphin show together. The live show was absolutely spectacular, with continuous cheers from the crowd – a wonderful family memory! 2. Kouri Island Shrimp Rice 🍤: We originally planned to redeem this, but unfortunately, the restaurant had run out of rice and we couldn't redeem it (a bit disappointing; I recommend going early if you want to try it). We then went to Zooton's Naha branch to redeem the "Three Cheese Burger." The burger was substantial and made to order. They were very sincere and didn't cut corners just because it was a package redemption – very impressive! The male staff member who served us was handsome, and his service was excellent 👍🏻 The package allows you to choose between attractions or food, offering great flexibility. For families like ours, traveling with a baby and not wanting to overschedule, this kind of package that allows for itinerary adjustments is incredibly convenient. I genuinely recommend it!

This was a really fun amusement park on the day we visited. Even with the rain and fog, it felt like being in a Jurassic Park movie. It was so much fun! All the staff were lovely, greeting us and being incredibly friendly. A staff member named Wansu took care of us from the moment we entered the park, throughout our time on the rides, until we left, which left a great impression on my friends and me. The rides are suitable for both children and adults. We bought a pass for the Dinosaur Safari ride, which was enjoyable; it's a must-do if you come here. The TamTam train was adorable because it had activities for us to do on board, and there's a 'Finding Dinosaur' area which was also cute and kids would probably love, as it's like helping to search for dinosaurs. The Jungle Extreme zone was also fun. In summary, this place is different from other amusement parks. Overall, my friends and I were very impressed with the service and would love to come back if we have the chance.

Great experience and very enjoyable, hassle free and convenient to purchase ticket via Klook, very worth to visit, the Okinawa World is huge, spent 2.5-3.5 hours to visit whole area, highly recommended.

Most attractions in Okinawa offer free parking for self-driving tours, which is very convenient. On the day of our visit, the main parking lot at the zoo was quite full, but by following the signs to the side entrance, we found plenty of available spaces – excellent! Purchasing tickets through Klook was easy; we just went to the visitor center on-site and exchanged our voucher for tickets, which were slightly cheaper than those sold directly by the zoo. Even buying tickets on-site is quite affordable, and it's definitely worth taking young children to experience. The park isn't huge, but it's very family-friendly. There are ramps throughout, making it easy to navigate with a stroller, even up to the elevated walkways. The map clearly indicates the different animal exhibits, and the layout allows you to explore the entire park without backtracking. Some areas offer opportunities to feed small animals; we tried feeding the chinchillas, which was a wonderful first experience for the kids. The overall environment is very clean, and there are ample restrooms. Small food trucks are available for snacks, and there are also small rides and an indoor play area for children. In summary, this is a highly recommended experience for families.
