Things to do in Ise

I highly recommend this day tour. The guide was excellent; knowing I was traveling alone, they offered to take photos for me several times and were very professional, writing down all meeting times on a whiteboard. The driver was very polite, always saying "welcome back" every time we got in the car. The travel time for this tour was short, so it wasn't tiring.

This tour is by GoGoDay. Meeting place is at Ministop Nagoya Station West (Google Map). It is the assembling place for all GoGoDay’s tours so need to ask the guides in order to join the correct group. That day, the tour for Ise was only 7 people so the vehicle used was a mini van. The driver doubled up as the guide. He was a careful driver but did not speak much except at the last destination (the wedded rocks). The first stop, the Ise Grand Shrine compound, is huge so it’s not advisable to cover the whole area. Unfortunately it was very crowded the day we visited as it was a public holiday. Similarly, Okage Yokocho was jam packed with people. Given the limited time and long queues, we did not manage to have lunch at any restaurants. Instead we walked around to shop and had street food. Make sure to try the eel skewers and not go on a public holiday. At second stop, we chose to go to Toba Aquarium which was excellent and fascinating. Nice to look at the sea at the Wedded Rocks.

This driver in Nagoya is absolutely wonderful! He’s friendly, polite and very attentive throughout the trip. The car is clean, and he’s always on time. Driving is smooth and steady. Great service from start to finish. Highly recommend this car service to anyone visiting Nagoya!

The itinerary for the Nagoya Full-Day Ise Grand Shrine & Toba Aquarium Tour with Meoto Iwa was well-organized and enjoyable. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily during our trip, so we decided to head back earlier than scheduled. I originally planned to visit the Pearl Museum, but due to the unpredictable weather, I chose the aquarium instead. Despite the change in plans, I had a great time watching the playful sea creatures and marine shows at the aquarium. Overall, it was still a memorable experience, and I would recommend this tour, especially for those who enjoy nature, culture, and marine life.

totally enjoyed this experience! love matcha so there’s no way I wouldn’t love the experience first hand with my favorite tea. Our tour guide Jun is amazing, he made sure to not get everyone bored with his jokes and singing. Just off from my bucket list.

After seeing this new itinerary on the platform, I immediately gathered my friends and we set off! Our tour guide, Xiao Xie, provided thoughtful and meticulous service. When a sudden downpour caught us off guard at noon, we immediately received a message from Xiao Xie saying he was getting umbrellas from the car for us! He was truly considerate. He also looked after us carefully throughout the trip. Highly recommended!

Although the venue isn't very large, the experience of touching marine animals is excellent! You can touch sea lions, walruses, and seals! When you visit, remember to check the official website for animal showtimes and touch-and-feel schedules so you don't miss any of the interactive sessions.

We are having a good time and expriences with our visit to this sacred shrine and this is especially so as our guide Ms Kim is putting in so much effort with a sense of humor at times, explaining to us in details in English much to our understanding about issues related to this intended tour all throughout.
