Embark on a private walking tour to the old port city of Hoi An, recognized since 1999 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for having successfully preserved years of influence from both local and foreign cultures. With convenient hotel pick ups within Da Nang City center, you won't have to worry about the hassle of commuting from one city to another. As soon as you arrive in Hoi An, you'll proceed on foot through streets cars and motorbikes have no access to. Your first stop in the tour is the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, an ornate Chinese style temple that was first built as a traditional assembly area in which the ethnic Chinese Phuc Kien (Fujian) tribes could come together and socialize, before it was turned into a place of worship. Make your way to the Old House of Tan Ky, described as the perfect example of an 18th century merchant's house that has been well maintained by over 7 generations and counting. In the Old House, your guide will take you through the antique-filled rooms where you'll find relics of the prospering trade cultural exchanges between the Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese. As you continue the tour, you'll find another beautifully preserved 18th century piece - the Japanese Covered Bridge, the most famous bridge of its kind in Vietnam and probably the most visited tourist spot in the city, built by the Japanese community back in the day to reach the Chinese quarters. Your last stop in the tour is another historic house just a few steps away from the Japanese Covered Bridge. The Phung Hung House is a two storey building that features a fusion of Chinese and Japanese architectural design, plus handicrafts that showcase the culture and heritage of Vietnam. When your tour finally comes to an end here, you can choose to board the shuttle back to your hotel, or you can spend the rest of your day strolling around the streets until 9:00pm, the latest departure time back to Da Nang. A small tip - stay 'til after sunset and see the colorful lanterns illuminate the pebbled streets of the old city! It's a sight you wouldn't want to miss.
Centuries before Vietnam existed as a country, their land belonged to the Champa Kingdom. At the height of its power, the kingdom built several cities and religious sanctuaries across Southeast Asia. In this tour, you'll see two of the kingdom's most notable infrastructure - My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An - and their own attractions. Check out these UNESCO World Heritage Sites and learn more about their history as a whole from your English-speaking tour guide. Start the tour with a visit to My Son Sanctuary, the Champa Kingdom's religious and political capital at the time. Surrounded by mountain ranges, the complex of temple towers are a popular tourist spot. Next, head to another ancient city off the coast of Thu Bon River - Hoi An. Explore the charming city with your English-speaking guide and see more of its beauty as the tour takes you to Fujian Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Sa Huynh Museum, and a pottery and crafts workshop in the Old Corners. Immerse yourself in the culture and the history of central Vietnam when you book this tour.

What people are saying about Walking Tours in Da Nang
For December 20, 2019
So far, this is the only Vietnam tour we booked with Klook that I am very satisfied with. I thoroughly enjoyed this private walking tour and our own food trip afterwards. Our guide Jackie is very nice and is the best English-speaking guide we had among all the other Vietnam tours we booked here. She gave us a very informative tour and also introduced us to the very delicious food in Hoi An (including the best banh mi in the world as per Anthony Bourdain). I am also happy with the private car transfer back to our hotel in Da Nang as the latest time they allowed for the transfer back was 9 pm so we were able to walk around the night market and enjoy the lanterns. Another plus is the easy communication and the accommodation that their company showed us. No regrets in booking this tour. In fact, I would highly recommend it to others.
This was a great walking tour led by Jackie. We were picked up in Da Nang and driven to Hoi An. Jackie was a very informative guide and brought us to interesting sites in Hoi An and most importantly, we ate the best banh mi per her referral! Very quaint city. It comes more alive at night time due to the lit lanterns. The driver picked us up again as to the agreed pick up time. Great way to experience Hoi An!
Timely pick up from our hotel in Da Nang. Got hosted by Emma, who is friendly and speaks fluent English. Emma showed us around the old town of Hoi An with detailed description on culture and history thereat, and more importantly she led us to a delicious local Bah Mi restaurant. We made a last minute request in changing the time of return ride via WhatsApp and was responded timely. Definitely recommended!
Very good arrangement for this tour. Klook people sent message a few days in advance to prepare us for the tour. Car came punctually to pick us at the hotel. Tour guide is knowledgable. We recommend this tour to all tourists to Danang. Coming back to Danang with private car to send us back to hotel also a breeze.
Great tour. Hoi An has so much to see it was perfect to be introduced by Emma, our guide. Car picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the tour office. A short walk to the center of the old town. Would highly recommend!
(We were extra lucky and my daughter won a lantern at the performance hall)
Hoi, a beautiful city Very charming We received great service. Once the booking was complete, Emma confirmed us. Including a pick up from the hotel on time and meet Jecky, a very helpful guide Even if it rains, it makes me think back as a child who played in the rain again. Impressed and thought to return to Hoi An soon.
