Crossing the city of Hue, the Perfume River is one of the city's major landmarks. The river got its name from the orchid flowers that fall into its water in autumn, giving the river a scented aroma and attracting lots of tourists to its banks. Don't miss a chance to see the magnificent sight on a private tour, away from crowds and lines. This luxury dinner cruise will take you past historical temples, pagodas, mountains and conclude with a breathtaking sunset view. You will also get to light paper lanterns from the boat
Cross rivers and step into the lovely quaint village of Thanh Toan! Highly historical and significantly cultural, Thanh Toan is the place to be for adventurous travelers who crave a countryside escape. Your getaway begins with a convenient pick up at your hotel in Hue City or meet up location. Upon arriving in the village, have a refreshing welcome drink and experience warm Vietnamese hospitality. Be a local for a day and enjoy cooking traditional dishes, farming, fishing, and biking around the peaceful setting of Thanh Toan. Row along the Nhu Y river commonly frequented by local fishermen and observe how they get their catch for the day. The ancient Thanh Toan bridge is also open for exploring! This so-called 'Japanese bridge' was created upon the orders of a noble in the mid-18th century to bridge better transactions and communications in the village. You can also visit the Vietnamese Agriculture Museum which showcases interesting antique pieces from the village's main source of livelihood. After that, join a cooking class to recreate Hue specialties with the assistance of a local chef and get to feast on what you made! By 2:00pm, picturesque views of green rice fields and stunning temples await you on your bike trip back to the city.
Hue offers much more than just the Citadel and the Royal Tombs. At least 3 days for Hue to explore beyond the usual tourist attractions - eg, Tam Giang Lagoon tour with a boat ride weaving amidst the Fishing nets, Oyster Cages, Fish spawning areas, seeing how these fishermen live with their families right in these small houses on stilts right smack in the Lagoon, the eco-system of the mangrove forest. I did the tour with Mr Hao from Hue Tourist who went out of his way to highlight the Ruong house in this province. Wonderful experience.
fantastic tour, run by the lovely Hong (Rose). even though I was the only participant on the day, Hong went out of her way to make me feel welcome and explained lots about the area and culture to me. As I was the only one, she contacted my Homestay to check that going with her on her scooter, and not bicycles would be okay. The cooking class with her husband was very good - we made some dishes I had not tried before in Vietnam and there was SO much food for lunch! If you have some spare time in Hue, I highly recommend this tour 😊
We are a family of 5 with 2 children. The trip was surprisingly pleasant and our guide Mr Hio was very helpful and friendly throughout the trip. Sunset view was superb and seafood snack with oyster was delicious. We were well taken care from both safety and comfort throughout the trip. Kudos to Mr Hio.
