We had an amazing cooking class with the host and she spoke perfect English. We managed to understand the local recipe well and do it ourselves step-by-step. We had a chill DIY dinner with the group.
We are also glad that the hosts help us change the activity date as we did not manage to aerive at Hanoi at the supposed date. Appreciated the flexible arrangement so much!
Bus pick up was on time with one of the chefs- Bon. Great market tour and introduction. Chef discussed options for meal- made 3 meals including chicken pho, green papaya salad with beef, BBQ pork, with egg coffee at the end. All was very professional - an excellent way to spend a half day in Hanoi.
Pick up from the hotel was punctual. We really enjoyed ourselves during this cooking tour and learnt alot about the food culture of Hanoi. We started off with a market tour to buy fresh ingredients and the chef taught us some Vietnamese phrases we could use in the market. We then went to the Rose Kitchen for our cooking class. The chef who taught us was really patient and hilarious. He even made some extra food for us to get a taste of Hanoi. I would highly recommend this to any foodie :)
It was great experience of cooking Hanoian food! I highly recommend this tour. Start from shopping at local market and then cooking in lovely and cute villa. Staff are all kind and explain every single things especially unfamiliar ingredients and dishes. Also they are welcoming any questions we had. They took care of everyone in my group very well. I’m happy I found and joined this tour.
This is an unexpectedly fun Hanoi experience for me and my son. My son loves to cook, and he had a great time not only with the cooking, but meeting new friends. You get to pick and shop for the ingredients you will be cooking with from the local market. From which you’ll learn about the ingredients that make Vietnamese cuisine so uniquely flavorful. Our instructor Mike was awesome, and the service was great, they’ll pick you up from your hotel and send you back. All well taken care of and the villa is so beautiful, supper clean. Unlimited drinks for beer, coca, local wine are great too.
It was a fun experience in Hanoi. We were picked up and dropped off on time. The activity started with a trip to the local market to buy fresh ingredients and Silong our guide taught us to haggle for the price. The villa was grand and spacious and comfortably cool. We were taught how to prepare 4 Vietnamese dishes and eat them afterwards. Drinks were free flowing the entire class and the food was delicious. It’s a must activity in Hanoi.
