Dance-to-know Mulan | Hong Kong Dance Company | Show Introduction

Combining dance education, drama and excerpts from a popular dance drama The Legend of Mulan, Hong Kong Dance Company brings the audience into a meaningful theatrical world. Over time, Mulan as a legendary figure who disguised as a man to join the army in place of her aged father, has been praised for her loyalty, filial piety, courage and wisdom. Art Education Theatre Dance-to-know Mulan travels through the literary world of a classic Chinese poem The Ballad of Mulan, and meets this world-renowned heroine with dance. Let’s learn about courage and kindness through the appreciation of art.

*This is a relaxed performance designed to provide a supportive atmosphere for everyone with or without access requirements. The auditorium will maintain moderate lighting levels, allowing audiences to enter and exit freely. The performance will feature soft lighting and reduced sound levels to minimise sensory stimulation.

Remarks

• Suitable for ages 3 and above.
• Sha Tin Town Hall’s programme duration is about 75 minutes; Relaxed performance’s programme duration is about 45 minutes; Yuen Long Theatre’s programme duration is about 45 minutes, all performances do not have intermission.
• Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break of the performance. (Except for Relaxed Performance)
• This programme contains scents. (Not applicable to Relaxed Performance)
