Animal Kingdom: A Tale of Six Families|Dome Show Introduction

Animal Kingdom: A Tale of Six Families|Dome Show

Welcome to the extraordinary animal kingdom, led by six remarkable animal families. The Dome Show Animal Kingdom: A Tale of Six Families takes us to every corner of the planet, exploring the diverse habitats of these families and discovering their astonishing adaptations for survival.

Let’s look into the tiny insects and appreciate their tireless efforts to maintain nature’s delicate balance. Soar with birds and unravel the secret lives of the king penguins after they gave up flying. Plunge into the depths of the ocean and reveal the vibrant communities of fish beneath the waves. Brace yourself as we venture into the realms of amphibians and reptiles, and challenge the world's deadliest predators. Finally, step into the world of mammals to which humans belong, and uncover the similarities we share with our amusing relatives.

Highlights

1

Although insects are small in size, they play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems. African dung beetles consume and process the faeces of other animals, facilitating nutrient cycling to improve soil fertility.

All birds have wings, but some have evolved to no longer use them for flying. King penguin has adapted its wings into flippers which enable it to swim through water.

3

Coral reefs are home to millions of fish, including the colourful clownfish. Unlike other species, clownfish have a mutualistic relationship with sea anemones. Despite the anemones' venomous tentacles, they are able to swim freely among them. What is the secret behind the harmonious coexistence of clownfish and sea anemones?

4_Trim

Amphibians and reptiles have lived on Earth for hundreds of millions of years, and some of them were dominant predators occupying the top of the food chain. While newborn saltwater crocodiles may initially fall on the hunted side, the predator-prey relationship will reverse as they mature and grow larger.

5 Trim

Humans and humpback whales are both mammals and part of the animal kingdom. Each member in this kingdom has its own incredible abilities. While humpback whales can communicate with complex songs, what unparalleled abilities do we humans possess?
