Rent a car in Paphos
Explore Paphos at Your Leisure
Renting a car in Paphos allows you the freedom to discover the city's rich history and stunning landscapes on your own schedule. Drive to the Tombs of the Kings, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or enjoy the coastal views at Coral Bay, both easily accessible with your own transportation. Embrace the convenience of exploring at your own pace, visiting local vineyards or the Akamas Peninsula without the constraints of public transport.
Inspect and Document Vehicle Condition
Upon receiving your rental car, perform a thorough inspection for any pre-existing damage. Document any scratches, dents, or other issues and report them to the rental agency to prevent any future disputes. It's wise to take photographs or videos as proof. Familiarize yourself with the rental agreement, noting details such as mileage limits, fuel policies, insurance inclusions, extra fees, and geographical restrictions. Remember to refuel the car before returning it to avoid higher charges from the rental company.
Child Safety Measures
Ensure the safety of your young passengers by inquiring about car seat availability and installation from the rental company. In Paphos, as with many destinations, it's important to comply with child safety regulations, which may include the use of appropriate car seats or boosters depending on the child's age and size.
Plan Your Route Wisely
While Paphos is not known for heavy traffic like larger cities, it's still advisable to plan your routes to avoid any potential congestion, especially during tourist seasons. Be mindful of local driving customs and areas that may become crowded at certain times of the day.
Cost-Effective Exploration
With the higher costs associated with taxis and the limitations of public transport, renting a car can be an economical choice for getting around Paphos. Many rental vehicles come equipped with GPS navigation to assist you in finding your destinations, such as the Aphrodite's Rock or the Paphos Archaeological Park, with ease and efficiency.
Convenient Pickup Locations
You'll find a variety of car rental agencies at convenient locations throughout Paphos, including the airport and city center. This makes it easy to pick up your vehicle upon arrival and start your journey without delay.
Driving in Paphos
In Paphos, and Cyprus in general, you'll be driving on the left side of the road. Road signs are typically displayed in both Greek and English, making navigation simpler for English-speaking visitors. Always adhere to local traffic laws, avoid driving under the influence, and be cautious of cyclists and pedestrians in busier areas. When exploring more rural locations, be prepared for narrow roads and less traffic signage.
By following these tips, you can ensure a smooth and enjoyable car rental experience in Paphos, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty and culture of this Cypriot gem.

Fantastic C1 Citroen 21 day
A small hiccup almost ruined renting the car; once the issue wad cleared, the car received was in good condition but felt that it was lacking power especially when going up to mountains. Although the car rental location was inside the airport, it was somewhat confusing accessing the car drop off.
