MARVEL STUDIOS: TEN YEARS OF HEROES EXHIBITION
With 10 immersive galleries featuring original movie props, costumes, concept art and interactive experiences, make sure you head there to join in the celebration. Keep reading to find out what Marvel magic you can expect at the exhibition!
Gallery 1: Iron Man
The exhibition begins with Iron Man, the Marvel Studios Super Hero movie that started it all. On display are 3 different life-sized Iron Man suits created over the years specifically Mark II, Mark V and Mark VI.
Part of the showcase in the Iron Man exhibit is a movie prop which is the Arc Reactor from Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame!
Gallery 2: Captain America
If you’ve always wondered how Captain America’s shield would feel on your hands, you can take photos with it as well as Captain America’s Wakanda shield. While unfortunately, Chris Evans couldn’t be flown down to the exhibition, you’re free to admire and snap photos with his life-sized figurine.
Other highlights worth noting are the Captain America USO Shield and Stealth Shield from Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier respectively, which were flown in specially for this exhibition!
Gallery 3: Thor
Step into the realm of Asgard as you first walk through the Bifrost! Photos certainly don’t do it justice and it’s something to be experienced in person. Stand by the Thor life-sized figurine and feel the thrill as he summons lightning.
Some of the movie props you can find in the Thor exhibit include the iconic war-hammer Mjølnir and Stormbreaker, as well as the devious Loki’s Scepter.
Gallery 4: Doctor Strange
Experience the mystic art of time manipulation for yourself as you enter Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum Sanctorum. Try your hand at one of the interactive displays and check out the Eye of Agamotto as well as the costume worn by Benedict Cumberbatch.
The exhibit also has scenes of KL skyscrapers in the Mirror Dimension. Make sure you stick around to spot the iconic twin towers in this animation, unique to the Marvel Exhibition in Malaysia!
Gallery 5: The Guardians of the Galaxy
Get your groove on at the Guardians of the Galaxy exhibit. Stand in front of one of the displays and watch as Baby Groot does the floss dance with you or other dance moves you choose! You can also find the original Star-Lord Blasters used by Chris Pratt and the Gamora Sword wielded by Zoe Saldana from Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy.
Gallery 6: Black Panther
Alas, welcome to Wakanda! As you wander around Shuri’s lab and have a peek at her genius inventions, there is something that will be sure to catch your eye. None other than the famous Black Panther costume worn by Chadwick Boseman in the movie, the intricate details and handiwork are sure to astound you as well.
Gallery 7: Ant-Man
Take a journey into the Quantum Real with Ant-Man next! Feel free to snap a photo with the life-sized figurine of Ant-Man and standing on his shoulder, The Wasp in a miniature form. The gallery also has figurines of shrunken Ant-Man and The Wasp, as well as the original Pym Tech Rolling Lab from the movie!
Gallery 8: Captain Marvel
Next up is the latest Super Hero addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Captain Marvel. Check out the costumes worn by Brie Larson from her civilian clothes to the Starforce costume. The interactive displays also let you customise Captain Marvel’s suit into different colour combinations.
Gallery 9: The Avengers
In this gallery, you can learn more about the six Infinity Stones and experience their powers. Head to the displays and witness yourself disappearing after the snap from Thanos. Don’t forget to see the replica of the iconic Nano Gauntlet featured in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame.
Gallery 10: The Collector’s Museum
Feel the hairs of your arms stand at the galaxy’s largest collection of exotic relics and species of all manner. This eerie intergalactic vault known as The Collector’s Museum is first seen in Marvel Studios’ Thor: The Dark World. One of the relics that will catch your attention is the Frost Giant!
Marvel retail area
From incredibly cute collectibles to T-shirts, stationery, bags, this area is a MARVEL fan’s dream come true. Feel free to stock up on your MARVEL merchandise and there are even selected pieces that are being sold in Malaysia for the very first time.
For visitors who have taken a photo at the Marvel’s Avengers ID Station at the start of the exhibition, make sure to collect your very own personalised Avengers ID. Simply look out for Collection Counter in the retail area.
Kids below the age of 12 will also have received a Marvel’s Avengers activity booklet at the entrance of the exhibition. For those who have completed the activities and collected all the stamps inside the exhibition, they will earn their very own MARVEL badge as well!
