It doesn’t matter if MCO is lifted or not, we all know that this year will be “A Different Raya”. Instead of being able to enjoy our Ramadhan buffets at hotels or bungkus our favourite param food, it has now been replaced by Ramadhan deliveries (hyperlink to deliveries article), we don’t get to balik kampung and Raya gatherings would be done virtually.
However, despite this change, we know that there is always something to be thankful about. And this Raya, we want to share your stories of hope and gratefulness with everyone in Malaysia. You can be an encouragement to those in need by submitting in a video of yourself and your family which we will turn into a video that will be shared on Raya.

How to participate:
Note: Don't worry, you don't have to answer all questions - pick a few you're comfortable to share with us about! We will also snip your submission video accordingly, so it's totally ok if it's not filmed perfectly.
Questions you can choose to answer:
- Tell us your name!
- How different do you think this year’s Raya will be compared to the previous ones
- Amidst the situation, what are you grateful for?
- How are you celebrating Hari Raya this year?
- What’s the first thing that you would do with your family & friends once this is over
- Where would you like to travel when the sky is clear again?
Examples of shots you can take:
- Iftar dinner with your family or friends over a Zoom/ video call
- Cooking a Ramadhan meal together as a family
- Or anything that you think would make someone’s day
Video Guidelines
1. Record horizontally, not vertically. Us a tripod or have a steady surface to sit your phone/camera on would be great but not required. (Ratio of 16:9/ full screen or 4:3)
2. Keep the camera eye level and ensure that you’re in the centre of the frame. Try to film yourself from the chest up.
3. So we don’t mix up your videos, do add your submissions in a zipped folder and name it accordingly: “Raya video_[Your name]”. Example: Raya video_Amalina.
Also, do rename each of your videos according to this naming system:“Raya video_[Your name]_Video [number for each of your video]”.
Example: Raya Video_Amalina_Video1 / Amalina_Video2
4. Lastly, we want to see what is unique to you so if you’re filming in your house, don’t film against a blank wall. Instead, why not film in your kitchen, living room, or balcony.
Language
We want you to sound exactly like yourself so English, Malay, or Manglish is welcomed!
Submission Process and Period
When it comes to filming videos even with your mobile, the size of the file may be big so please upload all your videos to WeTransfer (a free file transfer platform). Select the “Get a link” option and send it to us here latest by 14 May 2020 to be featured in our video that will be posted on Klook's social media pages on 22 May 2020.
