Hello everyone, I am Eatwith's host in Yunnan, Bai Caige. I was born in the 1990s and have lived in Beijing for more than 20 years. I came to Yunnan on a graduation trip and never left. I love Yunnan because there are endless mysteries to explore here. I hope to bring these authentic delicacies we have discovered to more people who travel to Yunnan.

There are two reasons why Nuodeng is famous. One is the local salt, and the other is the local climate of "no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer". In this experience, you can learn how the locals pickle ham and taste the delicacies cooked with ham. The second is the ancient buildings. There are not many modern residential buildings here. A large number of buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties are preserved. The more famous one is the Taoist building complex of Yuhuang Pavilion.
