Jacobite Steam Train & Scottish Highlands Guided Tour

I had a fantastic experience on the Jacobite Steam Train and Scottish Highlands tour. The highlight of the journey was our amazing guide, Sophie, whose knowledge of the area brought the history and beauty of the Highlands to life. She included a few surprise stops that were absolutely breathtaking and added so much value to the trip. Sophie was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive throughout the day – a true asset to the tour. One suggestion I’d like to make is for West Coast Railways: during summer, the carriages can get uncomfortably hot due to a lack of air conditioning and proper ventilation. Installing air conditioning would significantly improve passenger comfort, especially during warm weather. Overall, I highly recommend this tour – and especially if you get Sophie as your guide!

We came from Hong Kong 🌏 and joined Connor’s insightful tour 🇬🇧. He guided us through Scotland’s history, from the Highlands to the Union Act, in a truly engaging way. The highlight was the unforgettable 🚂 steam train journey to Fort William, which made the experience even more special.

The weather was very good, the blue sky was high, the breeze was refreshing, and it matched with the scenery along the way. just!!

The Highlander Tours/Haggis Adventures part of this experience was PHENOMENAL! Our guide Ryan P was outstanding, the bus trip was great and the views were unreal. Unfortunately the train part of this experience was a HUGE disappointment - but it’s run by a separate company. The train was overly hot and the views were subpar due to foggy windows. However the rest of the day was OUTSTANDING! Our whole group shared the same sentiments.

Fun and educational trip. Tom is a very entertaining story teller. I learned a lot of Scottish History on the way. We stopped by many scenic places. Excellent tour. 100% recommend to everyone!

Tour was very organized. Our bus driver and guide is knowledgeable and you'll hear interesting parts of Scotland's history along the way.

Because we have to pull the car so far away, we don’t have much time to actually get off the car. The steam train is not long enough to have a panoramic view of the train crossing the bridge. The tour guide explained it carefully and it was interesting.

The main highlight of this trip is the steam train, but the bridge is not visible from every side of the steam train. And the train's glass is not wiped clean.

It was amazing, we saw a lot of places, and Cara is excellent! She's very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of valuable information. I would have liked the opportunity to see the train go by and then get on it, and choose our seats. Other than that, everything was incredible.
