Yoichi Fruit Picking & Shakotan Peninsula Cape Kamui Insightful Day Trip (From Sapporo)

This was a super easy and enjoyable trip, thanks to our guide Lee for taking care of us and to the driver for the smooth ride. The day before, I connected with the guide via email and a messaging app. Lee sent details about the pickup location and important information. This itinerary included cherry picking at an orchard, a whiskey museum, Shimamui Coast, and Cape Kamui. The scenery was beautiful, and our guide Lee proactively offered to take photos. The time allotted for each stop was also very generous. Additionally, Lee provided explanations in three languages throughout the tour, showing great care and patience. I choose this company every time I travel abroad.

The experience was fantastic! I’ve been to Sapporo and Hokkaido several times, but never during the summer, and it offered a completely different perspective of the region. It was a wonderful way to explore destinations beyond the city, with a smooth and comfortable ride and breathtaking scenery throughout the journey. Our guide, Gilbert, was incredibly patient, seamlessly translating his commentary from Japanese into both English and Mandarin so everyone could enjoy the tour. The itinerary was perfectly timed—we arrived back in Sapporo with plenty of time to enjoy dinner and squeeze in a bit of shopping. Highly recommended!

Cherry picking was fun, the fruits were very sweet. The restaurant at the winery was delicious and the whiskey tasting in the museum was fun ♥️. Shakotan blue is really pretty and cape kamui has one of the best scenery in Japan. Tour guide (Lee) was friendly. Overall, it’s a fun and great itinerary.

We had a great time fruit picking and visiting the amazing views and clear seas of Hokkaido. The time we went was summer transiting to autumn where peaches taste great. Our guide Zhou Zeng who was Mandarin-speaking, was sincere in providing excellent service. He shared interestingly Hokkaido’s history and background info which helped us appreciate Hokkaido better. Must try the apple wine from the distillery and the venison burger!

This itinerary was quite unique, a day spent connecting with nature, seeing Hokkaido's mountains and sea. The weather was a bit unstable that day, so we couldn't hike some of the mountain trails, but the scenery was beautiful nonetheless. It's a great trip for a relaxing and leisurely experience. The only thing to note is that at each scenic spot, there might only be one restaurant or shop, and they close quite early. For example, at Cape Kamui, we didn't have time to look for souvenirs.

A very enjoyable experience at a mostly relaxing pace. It was a bit of a hike to the tip of Cape Kamui, but there was ample time catered for that in the itinerary. Our guide Miss Lee was warm and friendly, took great care of the participants, and knew all the best angles for photo taking at each spot!

One of the highlights of our Hokkaido trip was our guide, Li Yuzhu, who was professional and meticulous. She explained every detail in both Chinese and English throughout the entire journey. The cherry picking in Yoichi was fantastic, with abundant and delicious fruit. Shimamui Coast and Cape Kamui were also incredibly beautiful.

A really enjoyable day trip, nicely paced with ample time to enjoy each destination. Our guide Lee is really friendly and patient, always so helpful with taking gorgeous photos for my family! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! especially love the morning cherry picking and Shakotan. Highly recommended!

It was a great tour! Our tour guide, Ah Fong, was incredible. He made sure everyone was informed of the plans via WhatsApp, including the return time and bus number. It was very convenient, especially since it’s easy to lose track of time during the trip. He also explained everything clearly in English and then translated it into Mandarin. The flow of the tour was very smooth, and ample time was given at each stop. We had fun picking strawberries at the Nitori Orchard. There was a ¥2,800 fee per person if you wanted to pick fruits, but it included unlimited fruit for 30 minutes while at the orchard. We also enjoyed Cape Kamui — one of the best spots we’ve visited in Japan. The 40-minute trail was absolutely worth it. Thanks again, Ah Fong!

Since I had already explored Otaru city, I chose this rare tour that bypassed Otaru but went to Cape Kamui, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Our guide, Hanna, provided patient, thoughtful, and meticulous service. Along the way, she introduced us to a lot of Hokkaido's history and culture, and even gave detailed information about local delicacies and where to find them, which was fantastic! The Japanese cherries at the orchard were very sweet and fresh, quite different from those in Europe and America, and very unique. At the Yoichi Distillery, we tasted a 10-year-old single malt whisky, which was pure and robust, leaving a lasting impression. The scenery at Cape Kamui was absolutely stunning; the breathtaking turquoise waters and the majestic, rugged cliffs and strange rock formations along the shore created a harmonious blend of strength and beauty, making us feel refreshed and wanting to linger. This is a highly recommended trip.
