What to expect

[Roller Coaster Road]

This road was a filming location for the movie "If You Are the One," and is famous for its dramatic elevation changes and straight stretches, making driving here as thrilling as riding a roller coaster. The open farmland scenery and magnificent mountains on both sides are visible at a glance.

[Blue Pond]

Due to natural minerals such as aluminum hydroxide in its water, the pond displays different colors under varying sunlight, earning it the reputation of Japan's "Little Jiuzhaigou."

[Lunch Restaurant]

You can choose the most suitable dining combination based on different plan contents.

If you choose the buffet + melon plan, there is a limited time: 30 minutes for the buffet + 20 minutes for the melon.

A Buffet 30 minutes + Melon 20 minutes All-you-can-eat melon | Seasonal until 9/30

C Buffet 50 minutes (It may not be possible to add melon on-site)

D No meal, no melon. You can choose to arrange your own meal. (It is not possible to add melon on-site)

Buffet lunch can be added on the day, 2200 JPY per person. For guests who choose this package,

The restaurant may arrange for Herb Hill Furano, which does not have melon, so it is not possible to add melon on-site. Please understand.

[Shikisai no Oka]

15 hectares of vast and beautiful flower fields, with over 30 kinds of flowers blooming competitively on the rolling hills, creating a colorful spectacle (flowering conditions vary with the climate each year; please understand if the flower sea does not achieve the picture effect due to force majeure).

[Shikisai no Oka | Flower Season Reference]

Late April to May: Tulips, Rapeseed flowers

June: Lupines, Poppies, Marigolds

July: Lavender, Sunflowers, Sage

August: Sunflowers, Zinnia, Cosmos

September to October: Cosmos, Autumn flowers and hill landscapes

*Flower conditions will vary depending on the climate and blooming situation of the year. The actual scenery is subject to on-site conditions.

[Farm Tomita] (Summer Limited)

Ascend to the top of Farm Tomita’s flower fields, and from the lavender-filled grass fields, you can overlook the scenery of the Furano Basin and the Tokachidake mountain range. October 30th - November 30th: Due to poor flowering conditions at Farm Tomita, Shirasu Falls will be added as an attraction.

[Shirasu Falls] (Autumn Limited 10/30~11/30)

In autumn, Shirasu Falls is surrounded by red leaves and golden forests. The waterfall cascades from rock crevices, creating a stark contrast with the clear blue stream, showcasing a unique autumn spectacle limited to Hokkaido.1

The trip turned up to be surprisingly enjoyable despite we were too early for lots of flowers . The Blue Pond was spectacular despite the drizzly weather. Trip to Shikisai No Oka was truly eye opening and we truly immersed ourselves under the cool summer day. Farm Tomita never disappoints us with the chance to taste the ice cream and melon with the beautiful flower views. lastly must comment the guide Yan who patiently explained all the places of interest in English, Chinese and Japanese.

Review for: Depart at 11:10 (Elf Terrace lighting)

On August 25, 2026, we met at Exit 31 of Datong Station to join the 11:10 AM tour. We had the pleasure of having Hanna, a very elegant and knowledgeable tour guide, and Mr. Kasai, our driver. Hanna professionally explained the itinerary and provided excellent service throughout the trip. The advantage of departing a bit later was truly great, as we avoided large crowds and rush hour traffic on the way back. We didn't even have to wait in line for dinner. Although the journey was a bit long, it was well worth it for the beautiful scenery. We visited the Blue Pond, the Herb Garden (shopping for lavender products), Shikisai-no-Oka, Farm Tomita, a melon farm, and enjoyed the illuminated Ningle Terrace at Furano Prince Hotel (a nighttime activity). We returned at 9 PM.

The attractions visited on the day were exactly as shown in the itinerary. The timing was well-arranged, and the journey was smooth. Our tour guide, Hanna, provided excellent service. She was gentle and friendly, proactively offering assistance, explaining the process clearly, and giving timely reminders, ensuring everyone in our group was well taken care of. The driver, Mr. Sang, had excellent driving skills; the ride was very stable and comfortable. He was very safe and punctual, getting us to different attractions on time. Although the journey took two to three hours, there were stops along the way for restroom breaks and refreshments. The first stop was the Blue Pond. It was a bit crowded, but we still managed to find a spot to take some beautiful photos. The second stop was for lunch. We ordered the buffet and all-you-can-eat melon, which was very cost-effective and satisfying. We highly recommend including it. A Korean lady at the next table ate over ten slices! The food selection was rich, and the taste was good, with various styles and cooking methods to choose from. The third stop was Shikisai-no-Oka. The flower scenery was beautiful. We took a tractor ride, and although it was only 500 yen, after riding it, we felt it wasn't necessary, as the areas it covered were very close and easily accessible on foot. You could save the money and take photos freely. Some group members chose to drive golf carts, which requires a driver's license. The fourth stop was Farm Tomita. There were many beautiful flowers, but unfortunately, this year's lavender bloomed early due to the warm weather. By the time we visited, it was the end of the blooming season, and the purple lavender was starting to look a bit dull. Hanna mentioned that it usually blooms from late June to early August, but this year it bloomed two weeks early, so we couldn't see the lavender at its peak. Perhaps it's a reason for me to visit again next time.

Our tour guide, Du Ruisi (DU トエイシ), was excellent! He switched effortlessly between Chinese and Japanese, managed our time perfectly, and was a fantastic and friendly driver. We visited many places, saw beautiful flower fields, enjoyed delicious and sweet cantaloupe, and savored rich milk ice cream and fragrant lavender ice cream. It was a very fulfilling day trip, and overall, the experience was absolutely wonderful!

Thanks to our tour guide, Hanna, we had a full day of activities. The weather forecast predicted rain, but luckily it only started raining after our trip ended! On July 9th, the lavender fields were in full bloom. I recommend trying the lavender ice cream, but the itinerary is quite packed. It's perfect for families who want to experience classic attractions all at once. Please note: If you need more time to take beautiful photos, I suggest arranging a self-guided tour, as each stop typically lasts no more than an hour.

A very nice tour with many highlights! The flower fields (in August) were especially beautiful. Once there, you can choose between three options: walking, riding in a tractor-pulled wagon, or taking a golf cart. The latter two options can be paid for additionally on-site. I chose to walk, which allowed me to pick my own photo spots. The lavender ice cream at Tabita Farm was an absolute highlight – definitely try it there and don't buy it beforehand! The tour guide was very friendly and explained everything in Japanese, Chinese, and English. This sometimes led to longer explanations, which is something to be aware of. The bus was older but very clean, and the driver drove safely. The lunch was also a pleasant surprise: a large, fresh buffet, free drinks, and particularly delicious corn-milk soup and fried pumpkin. The atmosphere, however, was more like a cafeteria. Overall: highly recommended!

This tour primarily featured three attractions: The first stop was Shirogane Blue Pond, where the water was a beautiful, vibrant green! The second stop was Biei Shikisai Hill, which was a bit disappointing as I only saw lavender and not the colorful hills depicted in photos. Perhaps June isn't the peak season for flowers! The third stop was Farm Tomita, where the flowers were even more stunning. I enjoyed delicious ice cream and Yubari melon here. However, if you want to ship the melon home, you'll need to purchase and package it at the melon market next door.

I really enjoyed this day tour! Everything was well-organized, from the itinerary to the transportation. The places we visited were beautiful, and I was able to enjoy the trip without worrying about the details but what really made the trip special was our tour guide. She was incredibly informative and knowledgeable. She explained the history, culture, and interesting facts about every place we visited, which made the tour much more meaningful and enjoyable. I also really appreciated how she could communicate in multiple languages. Her multilingual skills were truly impressive and made it easy for everyone in the group to understand and enjoy the tour. Overall, it was a fun, convenient, and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for an enjoyable and hassle-free day trip!

The all you can eat melon was the highlight of this trip. Don’t cheap out and be one of the people eating lunch with no melons.
