I went for this retreat with no expectations and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Flow Yoga. Located about half an hour from Chiang Mai City, Flow Yoga offers comfortable accommodation with a cosy room in a rustic environment (mine had a lovely view of the greenery and the pond) complete with necessary amenities - great air-condition and hot water shower system, slippers, free WiFi, bottled water and towels were provided. Amori is helpful and wonderful company. She is patient when teaching and I liked that my yoga practices were challenging to a suitable extent for me as a beginner. Having attended Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Amori’s meditation practices were good opportunities for me to practise mindfulness meditation and I picked up several new tips as well. I really liked the visit to the local Wat Phra That Doi Saket temple too - it was a majestic temple with a beautiful view of the mountains. Last but not least, the homely, sumptuous meals served were definitely a highlight!
A very great 3 days meditation & yoga retreat in Chaing Mai! This is a journey that allows me to relax physically and mentally. I learned new meditation techniques, which allowed me to focus more on the present moment, carefully observe the changes in my body, and achieve Peace of mind. Amori also took me to visit the temple to learn more about the benefits of meditation. In addition, Amori will tailor-make yoga classes for you based on your needs and level. I just need to enjoy the feeling of body stretching. In terms of accommodation, the rooms are far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and you can enjoy the atmosphere surrounded by nature. The room is clean and has basic facilities such as air conditioning, hot water heater, and towels. Amori's family prepares meals carefully and eats authentic Thai food. It was also my first time to try a vegetarian diet for 3 days, which allowed me to detoxify my body and mind. This is an opportunity for you to temporarily put aside your worries and go on a journey of physical, mental and spiritual healing! If you need anything, you can communicate with Amori, she will be very optimistic and listen to you. Although my English is not very good, I am grateful for Amori's patience and her company. Thanks Amori!!
Thanks Amori for being such gracious host! This is my first time to ChingMai, and Amori provided great food and suggestions in the tour! The guest house is close to the nature and you can enjoy a meditation journey with nothing to worry about. I enjoy very much in this short trip and the local tour provided. Thanks Amori!
Really overjoyed! Let’s talk about the hardware first: a separate room, a separate bathroom, the air conditioner is cold enough, and the hot water for the shower is hot enough and has enough water pressure. In terms of food, it has the taste of Thailand but is not too spicy. You can also tell the teacher if you have any special requirements for food or meat. The meditation and yoga venue is large and quiet, and the teacher can also provide video shooting services if necessary! In terms of software, Teacher Amori is very attentive in her guidance. She patiently explains every detail and every question you have. Since I was on a three-day and two-night tour, she would also take me to visit local temples. I am also a meditator myself, but I also learned additional skills from the teacher during this journey. However, new participants should pay attention to one thing. Since the teacher only understands Thai and English, it is recommended that non-native English speakers watch Guilds to Meditation on Netflix first. Familiarity with the English words about meditation can increase the sense of involvement in the meditation session. . In terms of yoga, since I am a newbie, each 40-minute yoga session is really satisfying and provides enough exercise. Finally, the teacher will also share Buddhism related to meditation when he has time, which will also be a great inspiration to my future outlook on life and values! The relevant content really requires you to participate in it and experience it in person. 😇 My IG: @kinsonng
This three-day and two-night experience camp is a gift to myself at the age of thirty. Amori brings me another outlook on life and experience through Buddhism and monk wisdom, supplemented by yoga and meditation. Amori told me, This is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy evey steps. Thank you for this wonderful journey! - *The accommodation is in a small room in the yoga park. It is clean and comfortable surrounded by nature. It has air conditioning and water heater, as well as cute snack plates. *Meals are all vegetarian. But the seasoning is very good, the decoration is careful, and there is fruit in the meal. As a carnivore, I eat well. Meditation and yoga are actually a kind of concentrated exercise. A total of four sessions (about 2-3 hours) in three days and two nights is actually quite tiring. But I feel comfortable both physically and mentally, and I don’t even need a massage when I go back to Chiang Mai (I feel like everything is fine)
Wonderful retreat experience with amazing local Thai food and spacious room. The host offered a lot of customization based on our needs and preference each day for the entire program and even went extra miles to offer the best experience to us. Not only does she help us understand more about meditation and yoga but also the Thai culture, buddhism etc. If you are a yoga and meditation newbie, highly recommend this for a glimpse of the body and mind practice. If you are an experienced yogi who practiced meditation before, we are pretty sure you can still learn sth new with the personalization the host is willing to provide. If you are simply looking for an immersive cultural experience with a Thai family, this is definitely a great choice as well!
The three-day yoga trip was very enjoyable. The meals every day were very thoughtful and delicious. The room was also very comfortable and clean, and it felt like home. The daily yoga and meditation classes were also a great experience, and Amori was very attentive in explaining the reasons for meditation to us. It was an experience that could cleanse our souls and increase our friendships with my friends. Really recommended!
The 3-day yoga and meditation retreat with was the perfect getaway for anyone looking to deepen their practice. As someone with experience in yoga but new to meditation, I found the program to be an ideal introduction to the benefits of meditation. The retreat's peaceful, rustic accommodations provided the ideal setting to truly disconnect and focus inward. The schedule was thoughtfully curated, with a good balance of yoga, meditation, an informative trip to the local temple, and free time. Amori was attentive and tailored the sessions to my intermediate level, ensuring I was challenged but never overwhelmed. The vegetarian meals were large portions, delicious and beautifuly presented. I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone seeking a restorative, transformative long weekend.
My experience with Amori was truly remarkable. She is such a warm and considerate teacher. I was amazed by the power of meditation - throughout the entire retreat, I felt a profound sense of calm and inner peace. Amori's yoga classes were also wonderful. I love the flow and she provided variations for different levels, no matter you are a newbie or advanced yogi. Another highlight was the delicious, home-cooked meals prepared by Amori and her family. Highly recommend!
it was a good retreat. i learned many things about meditation and yoga. As i was the only one there, the difficulty level was adjusted accordingly. Food and Accommodation was really good too. Overall, it was really enjoyable for me.
