Reviews summarythe safari park is very fun! however you need to pay additional for other activities. you need to pay additional 1000baht for jeep with giraffe and 1000baht for feeding lions/tigers on top of the price of the tour. you can pay over there directly no need to book in advance. crocodile show and elephant show is free!
Need minimum 6 pax for tour to proceed. Meet up was 10 mins before departure (8am), in a van (up to 10 pax). Given mineral water bottle each. Safari park includes the bus tour (with giraffes feeding at bus) and both crocodile show and elephant show. We paid additional 100baht (2 bowls of carrots) to feed giraffes/ deers/ zebras during bus tour, as well as 1000baht /pax for giraffe encounter (take pic with giraffes and zebras on a 4x4 vehicle, 1000baht/pax to take pic with baby lion (else can opt for 800baht for big lion). All extras can only be paid by cash at entrance of safari world. We love the train ride (4 stops) on death railway as it’s scenic on a very old train. Walk along small portion of death railway to a cave, and the River Kwai. Fruits (pomelo) sold there are cheap and sweet. Early dinner at Cafe, before heading back (arrived CentralWorld around 8.30pm).
I signed up for the join-in tour with my 4 year old son. A child seat was provided for us. Our van had 6 passenger and we had a tour guide, Roger, who would be a guide for 2 vans. (chinese speaking for van 1 and English speaking for van 2). Roger was a nice and caring guide who explained each activity in details. He would go out of his way to make sure you get to do what you want to do at the Safari Park. The Giraffe Jeep photo-taking cost 1200 baht per person if you pre-booked it beforehand. Safari Park was quite an experience! My son enjoyed the part when Giraffes came into the bus to eat our carrots! We bought 4 buckets of carrots for 200baht. When we were at the train track, I slipped on a rock and fell. Tour Guide Roger got me some plasters and told me that I could get some cleaning supplies at the next stop. I nodded but didnt think so much about it. To my surprise, when we were about to board the van to go back to BKK at the last stop, he passed me some plasters, alcohol and cotton wool! I felt really touched and thankful for his kindness. I 100% recommend this day tour to anyone visiting BKK! Personally I feel that the Itinerary was a bit packed for my 4 year old to handle, but for adults it would be perfectly fine! We departed at 08:10am, and arrived back at BKK close to 9pm. (Long hours might have been contributed by the aftermath of the earth quake). Thank you Roger, drivers and AKGOTOUR!
I had an amazing private tour in Kanchanaburi, visiting Safari Park, the Bridge over the River Kwai, and Meena Cafe. At Safari Park, I got to feed giraffes from a jeep—an unforgettable and fun experience! The park was clean, well-run, and perfect for animal lovers. Next was the River Kwai Bridge, a powerful historical site from WWII. Walking across it while learning about its past was moving. Finally, we relaxed at Meena Cafe, set in beautiful rice fields with views of Wat Tham Sua. The drinks and desserts were delicious, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Our guide was friendly and informative, and the private setup made everything smooth, flexible, and comfortable. I never felt rushed and enjoyed every moment. This tour had the perfect mix of nature, history, and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Thailand!
Overall a smooth and enjoyable trip for our family. ✅ Support team was friendly & responsive from booking to travel. 🚗 Driver Mr. Pong was punctual and polite, but not very interactive. 🦒 Safari Park & giraffe photo session were the highlights – glad we booked early! 🌉 River Kwai Bridge was peaceful and kid-friendly with flexible timing. ☕ After the Rain Cafe had a nice view, but staff were less friendly. 🍽️ Would love to see halal food stop options included in future. ⭐️ Rating: 4/5 – Worth it for families looking for a relaxing, animal-filled day outside Bangkok!
Totally recommend this day trip. It was a very long day, but absolutely worth the journey to see these amazing historic sights. Tour guide was very professional but a little hard to understand (no issue however). It was a small group travelling by mini van. Plenty of toilet and snack stops. The giraffes at the safari park was a real highlight along with the train ride on the death railway. Meet up point was easy to find, check in easy and tour arrived back about 8pm. Highly recommend this tour but be prepared for a long day.
This was the most costly Klook we booked for our Thailand trip, mainly because of how far the destination is from Bangkok. The safari was a unique experience—close encounters with animals you don’t usually see made it worthwhile! 🐘🦒 The itinerary was okay given the travel time, and the scenic train ride was definitely a highlight. Transfers were fast, probably to keep up with the schedule. Our tour guide was kind, though his accent was sometimes hard to understand, and it would’ve helped if he answered phone calls when someone got separated from the group. For the price, it felt a bit steep—especially since food wasn’t included. Maybe Klook can review their pricing to match the overall value. If you want convenience, a private tour is recommendable, especially due to the location. But if you’re okay with DIY, it can come out much cheaper!✌️ Still, it’s a day well spent with some unforgettable moments.😎
I’m very happy for the trip that I’ve booked. our tour guide Roger is very friendly and helpful. due to high demand.. he need to guide 2 vans.. which is English and Chinese speaking tour. overall the trip is very fantastic. I managed to walk with the Tiger and the safari park is loaded with wildlife. last but not least.. ak go tour staff also very friendly and responsive as well.
We had such a memorable experience at Kanchanaburi Safari Park! 🦒🐯🦓 Getting up close with the animals was definitely the highlight from feeding the tiger to our one on one encounter with the giraffes and zebras. The safari bus was also so much fun! Such a unique experience and definitely one of the highlights of our Kanchanaburi trip. ❤️🇹🇭
Great and varied day out. Great to see The Bridge On The River Kwai and pay a tribute to those who suffered in building the railway. Some spectacular scenery as the railway winds along the river bank. The Safari Park was enthralling with a wide variety of animals roaming open spaces including a large number of various big cats. Perhaps a highlight is when the giraffe's stick their heads right into the bus looking to be fed. A really varied day out, great value for money and exceptionally well organised.
