Manta Ray Tour in Fiji

I saw 2 manta ray and they were amazing- not every trip sees them as they obviously move around a lot. things to keep in mind- Manta Ray island is pretty far out there. it is about 3 hours from the port. the islands you pass are beautiful but you spend a lot of time getting there and are only there for 4 hours. lunch was very good-stone fired pizza.

It's a 6-hour boat ride for a round trip, and there's no guarantee you'll see Manta rays. If you don't, consider it a snorkeling trip to see the underwater ecosystem. But I recommend staying on the island for more than a day, so you won't be as tired. 😂

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Time or Money We booked this excursion with the hope of seeing manta rays, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. We never saw a single manta ray, and instead, we were taken on a snorkeling trip in murky water where it was difficult to see much of anything—barely any fish or coral. What made it worse was the time distribution. The ferry ride took three hours each way, but we were only on the manta ray island for about 1.5 hours, with just 1 hour allotted for snorkeling. Most of the day was spent in transit rather than enjoying the destination. Overall, it felt like a waste of both time and money. I would not recommend this excursion—save yourself the disappointment and book something more worthwhile.

No one told me what time they would pick me up at the hotel. I called to ask and found out that they didn’t have any stingray tours today. They asked me if I wanted to change the date, but I only had to stay in Fiji that day and couldn’t change it. Later, Klook offered a refund and the subsequent service was quite fast. I hope that in the future, I can update the local tour groups on their tour schedule, so that other people will not waste the time they originally planned to visit on the tour itinerary.
