What to expect
Seoul, being the capital of South Korea, is home to many important historic sites and locations. This 2.5 hour walking tour will bring you to some of its most noteworthy stops that you may have missed. By walking, you'll get right up close and experience a real journey into Seoul's history. After meeting up with your English speaking guide, you'll head to Gwanghwamun Plaza. This is a public open space that has been central to the community for centuries into Korean history, and was only in the 20th century when it became a 16-lane roadway. Then you will be able to tour Gyeongbok Palace, considered as the main palace during the Joseon period. You'll get the chance to see Gyeonghoeru, Sajeongjeon, and the National Folk Museum while here. Then you will head to Jogyesa Temple, which is considered the center of Korean Buddhism. Then you will walk to Insadong, one of Seoul's brightest attractions, specializing in cultural crafts, where so many items can be purchased as mementos of Korean cultural history. This is the perfect way to experience Korean culture, and even hear some funny stories!

Reviews
Although we expected a walking tour, the tour operator had arranged for a mini van due to the cold temperature. This was a great move as it was a cold windy morning. The tour guide was knowledgeable and group was only 4 people, which made it easy to navigate. We visited two main sites during the morning and on these site we saw multiple historical and cultural places, buildings and performances such as changing of the guards. This is a great tour to start of your Seoul experience, followed by your own exploration.
Brian enlightened us with their history & cracked some jokes too. Enjoyed the tour. 😊
Insightful and learnt a lot from the tour! Fantastic guide but tour felt a bit too rushed maybe because of the tour duration! Overall it was great! Got the chance to enjoy the change of Guards!
It was truly an amazing experience. The tour guide was experienced and attentive. She gave good introduction of the attractions and helped to take photos for us. It's recommended for anyone who wants to know more about Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Our guide Dustin (hope I spell it right) was wonderful. He shared interesting knowledge as we went on a leisure walk to the palace and museum. He helped to take family photos for us and was also very accommodating by leading us to Myeongdong instead of to Insadong. We had a delicious lunch there. Thank you Dustin!
Tour guide was friendly. She was late due to traffic condition. Went to the temple & palace by van instead of walking. Didn’t go to Insadong. I wanted to go to Samcheongdong after the half day tour & she showed me the direction.
We enjoyed the tour and our tour guide was very entertaining,
Caoxi Temple ---> Gyeongbokgung Palace ---> Che Ching Blue Palace ---> Insadong ---> Myeongdong's commentary at Caoxi Temple has learned about the history of Korean Buddhism. At Gyeongbokgung Palace, I just saw the change of guards. The entire English commentary was very detailed. The guide Hank was very kind to help take pictures. The entire English commentary was very detailed.
Rather informative tour, but our guide (Park) could have provided more insights to the history of Korea.
Started the walking tour at 9am and ended at 12. Tour guide english was understandable. Tour ended at Isadong so have to find our way back to hotel ourselves.
