Wulai Yun Hsien Resort is a peaceful mountain retreat that offers beautiful nature views and a relaxing atmosphere away from the busy city. One of the most unique parts of visiting the resort is the cable car ride to reach it, which gives you stunning views of the surrounding forest and river. The ride itself already feels like part of the experience.
Once you arrive, the resort feels quiet and refreshing, surrounded by greenery, mountain air, and scenic walking paths. It’s a great place to slow down, enjoy nature, and take a break from crowded tourist areas. The area around the lake is especially beautiful and perfect for taking photos or just enjoying the peaceful environment.
There are also activities like paddle boats and small trails to explore, making the visit more enjoyable. Overall, Yun Hsien Resort is a lovely spot if you want a calm and scenic escape while visiting Wulai. It’s not just a resort but also a nature experience that makes the trip memorable.

Amazing view of the resort on top of the mountain, was mesmerized how it was constructed and the view going to the top, seeing the water falls & lots of trees. Truly an amazing experience. Cable car ride was also smooth, it can accomodate how many persons per ride and yet feels safe. They also have boat ride that can try for 30minutes.

It was unfortunate that it was raining so hard. Once the rain stopped, the cable car was in operation. Even though it is steep, I can assure you the ride is very safe. The ticket purchase is a round trip. Seniors and kids would actually enjoy the accessibility. I was impressed to see that even the garbage from the mountains was brought down to make sure it was disposed of properly and not to pollute the mountainside.

This is one of the highlights of our Wulai trip! Highly recommended cable car to and from the resort, a great experience to see the whole of the waterfalls frim above. Lots of activities to enjoy inside the resort.

It's an all-in-one package that includes a roundtrip cable car ride and admission to Yun Hsien Resort. I bought the tickets right at the cable car gate, and it was very easy and convenient to use. The cable car ride was scenic, and we got up close to the waterfall. The resort itself was lovely, though be prepared for a few stairs to reach it. The place is very relaxing, and there are several activities you can enjoy at the resort.

we enjoyed the hike and the staffs in the dining area accommodated our requests of changing our food as we don't eat pork or shrimps. they gave us fried fish fillet, chicken soup, steamed veggies and vegetarian chopseuy, stir fry chicken. it was all good. we enjoyed the scenery and the cool weather.

Place: For me, the place is a paradise but it's a diamond in the rough. It shows its age and you can tell it isn’t being maintained. Despite that, I find that it’s still such a beautiful spot to visit when in Wulai. It’s tranquil and serene. If you’re considering visiting, I’d suggest taking it for what it is and know that it’s an old, old location and just enjoy the peace and uniqueness of it all, regardless of its wear and tear.
The cable car in itself is a short sweet ride and not that scary. It goes right on top of the falls and you can see Wulai from the top.
Redemption process: I booked the ticket on the day itself and is easy to redeem. You just need to present the ticket when in line for the cable car.

New Taipei Wulai Yun Hsien Resort Wulai is located about 27 kilometers southeast of Taipei City, and is the only mountainous township in Taipei County. The entire area is covered with lush trees, flowing clear water, and surrounded by mountains. The source at the top of the famous Wulai Waterfall is even more picturesque with lakes and mountains, ancient trees reaching to the sky, misty clouds in the forest, and butterflies, cicadas, and birdsong, like a paradise on earth. Thus, a cable car construction plan was initiated to fully present the original natural landscape to the public.
