Fantastic Experience at Lanyang Museum, Taiwan – A Must-Visit! I recently visited Lanyang Museum in Yilan, Taiwan, and it was an unforgettable experience! The museum’s architecture alone is stunning, with its unique design inspired by Yilan’s famous cuesta rock formations. Nestled by the coast and surrounded by nature, the location offers beautiful scenery, perfect for photos. Inside, the exhibits are thoughtfully curated, highlighting the rich history, culture, and natural environment of Yilan. From the geological evolution of the region to local traditions and fishing culture, each display is interactive and engaging. I particularly enjoyed the multimedia presentations, which made learning fun for visitors of all ages. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the layout made it easy to explore at my own pace. There’s also a lovely café and a gift shop with unique local souvenirs. Overall, Lanyang Museum is a perfect blend of education and entertainment. It’s a must-visit for anyone traveling to Yilan. Interesting concept where the exhibits are visited from the top floor down to the bottom floor. The place closes at 5pm, and I only arrived at 3.30pm which I did not have enough time to look through everything thoroughly. Some of the exhibits were interactive.

A local museum full of Yilan culture. Not only can you learn about Yilan, but you can also gain a deeper insight into the history and geography of Taiwan. What a great place! The things introduced in the museum are very interesting. You can learn more about Lanyang's human history, geographical environment, ecological conservation, etc. The whole building is also very beautiful.

I decided to go there on the same day, bought the tickets on the same day, and used them immediately. It was very convenient. I bought the permanent exhibition tickets. After taking the elevator to the second floor, I scanned the QR code at the door and took the escalator to the fourth floor after entering. I walked down slowly and saw many lifelike lifestyles of the ancestors.

This time when I came to Toucheng, I specially brought my children to Lanyang Museum to have a better understanding of Yilan’s history and humanities. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the archaeological experience is also very interesting! Very suitable for children to participate!

The Lanyang Museum displays Yilan's natural environment, geographical ecology, human history, traditional culture and other aspects. The display method is vivid and interesting, and the sense of interaction is strong. As a museum lover, I was overwhelmed by the sights and it is definitely worth a visit!

The weather was very good, the lake surface was like a mirror, and the 45 minutes in the children's archeology area was still full of fun. The permanent exhibitions were divided into three aspects: forest, humanities, and ocean, and were rich in content!

We upgraded our access coupon for only 50NTD. This is a new experience for me. I was amazed on how they were able to keep the old artificats. We experienced 2 exhibition on that day. Definitely worth it.
