JR Setouchi Area Pass

it was an easier and cheaper ticket exprxialky when accessing some spots around Osaka and Fukuoka. it was also easy to show the people at the ticket lane when asking if you could use it to get to certain provinces. I think the only thing I was troubled about was when we were going to Fukuoka airport from Hakata station. from what I understood it was included in the pass. other than that it was a good ticket if your just roaming around Osaka and Fukuoka.

If you exchange at Hakata Station, you can exchange this pass for a real ticket at machines 9-11 on the JR West side (Shinkansen side). I only had one day to review it because I bought it almost a month in advance. It's a great deal. Just taking the Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka is almost the same price as the pass, plus you can also visit Shikoku.

The JR Setouchi pass is highly recommended if you plan to travel to multiple cities using the Shinkansen. This pass also included the JR ferry to Miyajima and the Hello Kitty train in designated stops. At Hakata station, you can redeem the purchased ticket/QR code at a green ticket machine or at the in-person booth.

Highly recommend getting the Setouchi Area Pass! Picking up the pass at one of the JR stations took a bit longer than expected, as they seemed to have trouble looking up our reservation number. The pass itself is extremely great value if you plan your trips accordingly, especially sections on Shinkansen lines. We were able to visit so many different cities and see so much !!!

It’s a great travel pass. I redeemed it at the machine in Hiroshima. I also made good use of the machine to book a seat seven times. I used the Shinkansen as a commuter train during the entire trip, making the entire trip full of mobility and smooth sailing! However, every time you enter or leave the station, you have to take out the travel ticket for the station staff to check. It is not the ticket that is put into the gate to enter and exit the gate, which is different from my understanding. This trip took a boat from Hiroshima to Matsuyama. The boat ran so smoothly and I slept comfortably on the boat. Then we went to Takamatsu, then to Okayama, and then to Osaka and Hakata. It was a very rich journey.

By far, the most worth it purchase of my entire trip. Unlimited rides on JR Trains and Shinkansen so we were able to go to Fukuoka - Kansai - Hiroshima.

Traveling from Osaka to ending at Kyushu is very worthwhile because seats can be reserved in advance. At the time of the visit there were a lot of tourists. It is recommended to allow travel time as well.
