Lord of the Rings Safari - Glenorchy Half Day Tour

wasn't a big fan of LOTR but honestly learned a lot from this tour. riding on a 4wd vehicle adds to the fun as well! the tour guide is very knowledgeable and fun. the banana bread (and other food) brought is delicious. it's cute when the driver offered us to eat what he brought for us. 🙂

I absolutely loved the experience with our guide, Nicholas! Even if you're not familiar with the movies, you can still feel the atmosphere. The guide's explanations were lively and engaging, so you never felt awkward for not knowing the plot. They were always thoughtful in reminding us about road conditions, ensuring everyone's safety. During the trip, the guide also provided drinks and snacks to keep us energized. This was truly an unforgettable journey, well worth experiencing again or recommending to friends.

If you’re a fan of LOTR you need to experience this, however, I was excited to spend a little more time in Glenorchy to take a photo on the iconic red building but we just stopped there for toilet 🥹 it could have been a good itinerary if we did. It also felt like we’re in a hurry as we have to be back before 1pm

Unfortunately due to the weather we are unable to see a very clear view of the shooting sites. But other than that everything was adventuriously fun tho! Head for it for the experience!

The scenery of the itinerary was beautiful. The driver of the guided tour gave detailed, clear and polite explanations. He knew that I like to take pictures and deliberately took time to stop for a while. He drove a four-wheel drive vehicle stably, and there were refreshments and hot drinks. Overall, full marks.

I have only a moderate interest in the Lord of the Rings movies, so I just wanted to see the scenery when I joined this group. However, the tour guide and driver JONO was very considerate and told us that this route is specially designed for senior fans of The Lord of the Rings. If you are not familiar with The Lord of the Rings, we recommend It would be more fun to change the route to Arrow Town, so with the approval of the whole group, we changed to Arrow Town. It turned out to be very fun! There are exciting river explorations, interesting gold panning experiences, and most importantly, beautiful scenery. JONO has good driving skills and will introduce the local ecology, geography and history in detail on the way. It can be seen that he sincerely likes New Zealand. In the final part of playing the character of Lord of the Rings, I suggest you put down your reserve and go out and have fun. You will take some fun photos and videos.

Itinerary: Very fulfilling, the tour guide is very nice, and there are meals to eat. Scenery: Very beautiful, it's relaxing to sit in the car, and the tour guide provides introductions throughout the whole trip.
