- You can purchase a Sugoca / Nimoca for children aged 6-11 at the "green window" (ticketing office) at any JR Kyushu stations
- Sugoca / Nimoca will expire if unused for 10 years
- Reclaim your SUGOCA deposit: Visit the JR Kyushu Ticketing Office (the green window), you'll receive a refund comprising the remaining card balance minus a JPY220 handling fee and the original JPY500 deposit
- Reclaim your Nimoca deposit: Visit the Ticketing Office (green window), located at Hakata Bus Terminal 3F, Tenjin Highway Bus Terminal 3F, or Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station South Exit. You'll receive a refund comprising the remaining card balance, minus a JPY220 handling fee and the original JPY500 deposit
- Sugoca / Nimoca cannot be used for the Bullet Train (Shinkansen). To use the Bullet Train purchase a separate basic fare ticket and limited express ticket

It's a very easy-to-use network card with stable speed. You can use it immediately after installing it. I haven't had any major problems in using it freely in the past few days.
Easy to exchange for the card. you just need to show them the booking details and they'll prepare the card for you. but do note that the counter at the fukuoka airport opens on the dot at 0900 or 0930 if i didnt remember wrongly.
easy redemption at the HIS counter at Fukuoka Airport Terminal. however, the opening hours have changed to 9.30am instead. but just show the staff the Klook voucher QR code and receive the Welcome Suica card straight away. very useful when taking buses not covered under JR Pass.
Nimoka is an IC card or transportation card that can be used in Fukuoka and Kyushu! Like Suica, you could pay with cash at convenience stores and certain restaurants in the Kyushu region. It is convenient because it can be recharged and used continuously.
It is very convenient to use, and the value-added points at the station are also easy to find, but I still prefer the watermelon card that has a permanent validity. It is also environmentally friendly when reused.
easy to use cheaper than original price
I received the Welcome Suica card as soon as I arrived at Fukuoka Airport and used it well. It was convenient because, like Suica, you can make payments at convenience stores and recharge it. Welcome Suica is recommended when it is difficult to find Suica!

easy to pick up but open quite late. better to open earlier or other pick up places due to high demand.
