Guide
- Hailing Island, located on the southwest coast of Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, is the fourth largest island in Guangdong. It enjoys the reputation of "South Beidaihe" and "Oriental Hawaii" and has been continuously rated as one of "China's Top Ten Most Beautiful Islands" for many years. With its pleasant climate, bright sunshine, clear waters, and fine sand, it is a national-level tourist resort that integrates beach holidays, ecological sightseeing, historical exploration, and seafood delicacies. It is also a highly favored short-haul holiday destination for tourists from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
- The island boasts numerous picturesque bays, among which the most famous are the National 5A-level scenic area "Dajiao Bay" and the "Shili Yintan" (Ten-Mile Silver Beach), which holds a Guinness World Record. Dajiao Bay is protected by mountains on three sides and faces the vast South China Sea. Its gentle waves make it an excellent natural swimming beach and a paradise for water sports. Shili Yintan, on the other hand, is breathtaking with its 16.5-kilometer-long open coastline and snow-white sand, making it perfect for strolling, listening to the waves, or renting a tandem bicycle to enjoy the caress of the sea breeze.
- In addition to its charming natural seascapes, Hailing Island also carries a profound historical and cultural heritage. The Guangdong Maritime Silk Road Museum (Crystal Palace), located on Shili Yintan, is an unmissable cultural landmark on the island. The museum has salvaged, preserved, and displayed the world-renowned Southern Song Dynasty ancient shipwreck "Nanhai I" and its tens of thousands of precious artifacts. Here, you can not only enjoy the scenery where the sea meets the sky but also feel as if you've traveled through time, witnessing firsthand the prosperity and legends of the ancient Maritime Silk Road.
