What to expect

Option 1: Snow Monkeys See wild macaques soaking in hot springs at Jigokudani.
Sakura: Reflections at Garyu Park (Early Apr) or the 4km pink tunnel at Chikumagawa (Late Apr).
Option 2: Togakushi Shrine Walk the 400-year-old giant cedar avenue to Japan's mystical Okusha Shrine.
