Rental Qualifications

• Age: 20 years or older (no exceptions)
• Driver’s License: Taiwan motorcycle license + Japanese translation (International Driver’s Permit for Hong Kong/Macau/Singapore/Malaysia)
• Documents: Original passport + Original driver’s license + International Driver’s Permit or Japanese translation
• Language Services: Chinese or English

Vehicles and Usage

Available for rent are 125cc or smaller models (provided randomly): Honda Tact50/Honda Dio110/Honda Cub110/CrossCub110

• Riding Restrictions: Children under 110cm tall are prohibited from riding; three people riding together is prohibited.
• Dress Code: Prohibited from wearing sleeveless shirts, slippers, or other inappropriate driving attire.
• Location Restrictions: Limited to Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, and only to places accessible by bridge and land transportation, with no daily mileage limit.

Insurance

• Safety Insurance: Included in the vehicle rental fee and cannot be waived.
• Limited Self-Pay Vehicle Damage Insurance (Optional Add-on): 125cc: ¥2,000 for the first day, + ¥1,000 per day thereafter. In case of a traffic accident, it is mandatory to report to the police and obtain an official registration certificate. Compensation will not be provided for violations or illegal accidents, failure to report to the police, lack of a diagnostic certificate, or other non-compliant conditions. The renter is responsible for the safekeeping of the rented vehicle, and 100% of any damage will be borne by the renter.

6. Business Loss and Other Fees (Optional Add-on)

125cc Business Loss Exemption Insurance Fee: ¥1,000/day If the vehicle is damaged and unusable: If you can ride it back yourself, ¥30,000; if you cannot ride it back, ¥50,000 + transportation fee. Additional payment required if the fuel tank is not refilled (no 24hr gas stations on Ishigaki Island). If the wrong fuel type is added, repair costs + business loss + transportation fee must be paid.

7. Subsequent Notification After Reservation Confirmation

The renter will receive a separate notification letter. This will include the requirement to provide electronic copies of legal driving documents. It will also contain information on optional additional insurance, pick-up and return procedures, vehicle operation, refueling, etc. It is essential to ensure that the e-mail address provided in the reservation is correct. If problems arise, such as inability to pick up the vehicle due to not receiving the letter, or if the reservation cannot be canceled due to personal reasons for being overdue, all responsibility lies with the renter, so please pay special attention.
