Everything Changes, Everything Stays the Same
The 12th edition of OH!’s flagship art walks, OH! Moonstone, explores the theme “Everything Changes, Everything Stays the Same”. Join us on a walking tour across the Moonstone Lane Estate that has transformed over the years from plantations, kampungs, factories, and shrines to the residential precinct it is today.
Expect artworks across an unexpected mix of places: a 1950s family home, a passion-driven toy shop, and forgotten spaces tucked in between homes and religious spaces.
- Meeting Location: Bus Stop 60089, Opposite St. Andrew’s Village
- Roadside parking is available in the area, though spaces are limited. The nearest alternative parking is at 49A Whampoa South.

This is my third art walk with OH! and it's always a wonderful experience. Our guide Drishti even came prepared with mosquito repellent for everyone and had visual aids on her iPad to help us truly immerse in this walk down memory (Moonstone) Lane 😉 Learned so much about the very apt theme "everything changes, everything remains the same".
Always enjoy the alternative stories told by Oh! Open House and getting to see community building and placemaking in a different way through all the walking tours. My favourite art piece this tour was the “Light Metal Gossamer Bloom” by Jarupatcha Achavasmit, amazing use of metal & it was gorgeous, especially the copper flower. The placemaking for this artwork was unique too, located in “Daily Diecast” where Jordan sells car collectibles and seeing how the same process of using metal resulted in different outcomes.
Great experience exploring Moonstone Lane in Singapore. The tour was an art walk that brought my friends and me to unique artwork in various locations along the quiet Moonstone lane. I could totally imagine the intense research that went into curating the tour.
Always a good experience with Oh! Open House! Long time regular here!
it was such a delightful art walk and the guide was really goood! plus point as we are able to use LifeSG culture pass
it was an engaging and interesting walk through an old neighbourhood which many wouldn't venture otherwise.
such an interesting art walk in this part of Singapore. didn’t know much about moonstone area till this walk! well done and a good location selextion. I would love to attend similar walks in the future..hmm, perhaps places like beauty world, Kitchener area??
It was my first time attending an art walk and I thoroughly enjoyed it, got to find out more about my neighbourhood and i especially appreciated how knowledgeable our guide Judy was. The pace and timing was just right, and the walk was very well curated, and I loved hearing stories from interesting personalities and the wider community (including artists, vendors, shopowners, business owners, homeowners). I look forward to more art walks organised by oh!open house! :)
Our guide Jamie was well-informed about the sites, and we learnt a lot about the local history. The stops were well-crurated and we also had an informative brochure at the end to read more on our own.
I have been to Moonstone Lane as a young student (my classmate stayed around Whampoa area) and vaguely remembered the area. So much has changed but it was so interesting to go on that walking tour and learnt about these few places brought to my attention. I think that we do not know enough about our little Red Dot. Thank you to Oh! Open House for conducting these tours. Kristen was knowledgeable and made the tour very relaxing and yet at the same time interesting. Will most definitely follow your programmes. Thank you for a lovely and interesting historical walk.
