Ine no Funaya (Boat Houses): This is a small fishing village located in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, known for its unique wooden buildings with a design where “boats are parked on the first floor and people live on the second floor.” Resembling a small village floating on the sea, it is praised as the “Venice of Japan” and the “Maritime Kyoto.”
Amanohashidate: One of Japan’s three most scenic views, located in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture, is a narrow sandbar stretching across the sea. It is popular among tourists for its unique landscape and rich cultural significance.
Miyama Thatched Roof Village: Located in a quiet mountain village in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, it is known as one of Japan’s three major thatched roof villages, along with Shirakawa-go Gassho Village and Ouchi-juku in Fukushima Prefecture, and is praised as “the spiritual home of the Japanese people.”
