What to expect
Forest Lagoon is a geothermal spa nestled in the Vaðlaskógur forest just outside Akureyri, North Iceland. Surrounded by natural beauty and overlooking Eyjafjörður fjord, the lagoon offers visitors a serene experience with warm geothermal pools, a swim-up bar, cold plunge, sauna, and on-site bistro. Designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding forest, Forest Lagoon combines Icelandic nature, relaxation, and wellness in a truly unique setting. Since September 2025, Forest Lagoon has expanded its pools to nearly 1,200 m². The water temperature ranges between 37–39°C, depending on weather conditions, ensuring a warm and relaxing experience year-round.
