What to expect

Discover the world of Japanese sake at Sawada Sake Brewery, a family-run producer in Tokoname since 1848. Located on the historic Chita Peninsula, famous for fermentation traditions, the brewery carries a legacy of centuries-old sake-making.

A brewery guide will introduce the sake-making process, from rice preparation to fermentation. Taste the pure brewing water, then step inside the atmospheric brewery to see traditional vats and fermentation rooms.

Sample five varieties of sake paired with local delicacies (non-alcoholic options available), then design your own label for a 180ml can of sake to take home.

This tour blends history, craftsmanship, and creativity, giving you a deeper appreciation of one of Japan’s most iconic traditions.
