team was so warm and kind to share the details in an enthusiastic manner. booked it last min in the early morning of that day itself! no regrets to see so many beautiful tulips in my life. ams indeed live up to their hype for their tulips season and do note when it last till! was super worried i may hv missed the window. bus ride was smooth and comfortable too.
The Hop-on Hop-off shuttle service is great, allowing you to choose your departure and return times according to your needs. If you were to go to Keukenhof on your own without driving, it would be quite troublesome, but the shuttle is very convenient. It departs from Amsterdam Central after taking a free ferry to "This is Holland," where you can register and be accommodated. The gardens are well worth a visit; they are so large that they resemble a theme park, with all kinds of tulips and a flower market where you can buy flowers and seeds. The park staff is very dedicated and replaces the tulips regularly (they replace the withered flowers with trays of fresh tulips in their original soil). If you want to take pictures, allow about 4-6 hours. There are also exhibitions to see inside. Two other points are worth mentioning: 1) The tulip blooming period is mainly divided into 3 phases. The type of tulips you see will depend on when you go, details can be found on the official website; 2) If you want to buy seeds/potted plants as souvenirs, remember to check the local entry requirements carefully. For example, in Hong Kong, if you want to bring seeds/potted plants that are not native there, you should declare them, and the procedures are a bit complicated 🫢. You can find more details on the customs website.
The management is very good. Easy to find the meeting point. We went before 8 a.m. but many people already. We went to Keukenhof almost the last day it opens. so flowers were not at best condition, but good enough to make us happy. After 10 a.m. many people so better take photos before that. It’s easy to come back at the time we want. Almost no waiting.
Recommend to buy ahead on klook!! We booked the 8am time slot (ticket only, so cannot comment on the shuttle bus from the city), and arrived there at 730am (there was already a line at the on-site ticket counter, as well as the entrance gates). An amazing place to go, to see beautiful tulips in the spring (along with many other beautiful flowers). Could have spent the whole day there, but be warned its quite crowded at peak season.
instructions to get to the bus via the ferry at Amsterdam Centraal station were extremely clear. the bus ride took 40min and made it a fuss free admission. We spent about 3hrs at the park and made our way back to Amsterdam seamlessly. Recommend to take the earlier bus to Keukenhof to avoid the crowds.
The experience was was good and the arrangements were spot on. there was no waiting for the tickets and it was easy process. i would suggest to do early hours of the day as it avoids a lot of crowd and also you get more time to explore the gardens. Overall a good package to book as it is very convenient and also has no restrictions on you spending as much time
it was such an amazing place to visit. We spent a day in the garden, taking nice pictures, having meals and most importantly, seeing diffent kinds of tulips (both indoor and outdoor gardens). A place where allows you to give a deep breath, very refreshing and relaxing.
Took a short boat ride to the pick up point. My parents enjoyed it so much. We bought a hot chocalate drinks inside the cafe while waiting for the bus. It was delicious. Return point is also easy to locate. 100% recommend
