What to expect

Start your day early to catch theshuttle and arrive at Moraine Lake. Walk the Rockpile Trail for iconic views. Note: Moraine Lake is open June 1–Oct 14; in winter, we visit Banff Avenue or the Banff Gondola instead. Continue by shuttle to Lake Louise to admire the emerald waters beneath Victoria Glacier and stroll the Lakeshore Trail. Next, visit Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park, followed by a quick stop at the Natural Bridge. Hike Johnston Canyon to the Lower/Upper Falls along dramatic cliffside catwalks. Head to Banff town for exploration, relax in the Cascades of Time Gardens, then drive the scenic Bow Valley Parkway for wildlife viewing. Optionally ride the Banff Gondola, and end the day with a peaceful walk along the Bow River as evening light bathes Banff Springs Hotel.
