The Crying Howls

City Stage
  • The Human Heart Summoning Behind Ghost Stories. Taiwan has ghost stories, and women who tell them.
  • "Ghostly Cries and Howls" is adapted from the supernatural podcast program hosted by Lang Tsu-yun herself. It is derived from real listener submissions and her personal experiences, accumulating over 200 episodes of supernatural stories, touching dreams, and inquiries into human nature, garnering over a million listens and heated discussions over the years.
  • In 2025, Spring River Theatre will bring these supernatural stories to the stage, interweaving sound and light effects, theatrical magic, and in-depth texts to create a "thrilling yet heartwarming" supernatural theater work. This is not just a thrilling performance, but a ritual to get closer to the audience's hearts.
  • The ghost you fear is the person someone else longs for day and night. A dialogue with the audience on the life lesson that “death is not the end, regret is.”
  • Each cry and howl does not come from the underworld, but from the deepest regrets of the human heart. It is that unsaid love, that misunderstanding that cannot be clarified, that name you can't let go of in your heart. "Ghostly Cries and Howls" is not just a stage play that "tells ghost stories," but a soul confession that transcends yin and yang and touches human nature, combining modern people's desires for spiritual healing, family remembrance, and a sense of ritual in faith.
