Kongobu-ji is the head temple of Shingon Buddhism on Mount Koya, known for its vast rock garden and its role as the sect’s administrative center.
Okuno-in is the sacred cemetery of Mount Koya, leading to the mausoleum of Kobo Daishi and lined with over 200,000 graves set in a deeply spiritual forest.
