What to expect
Out of splendid Marseille, you'll explore two significant, historic centers in Provence: Aix-en-Provence and Cassis, each with their own breathtaking charms. Your guide will first take you on a splendid walking tour through the historical quarter of Aix-en-Provence, where you observe the city's past through the very walls of its famous structures and landmarks. You also visit the market to get a taste of the local color both figuratively and literally – there will be samplings of famous calissons, chocolates, biscuits, and even olive products. The next stop is the beautiful port of Cassis, where, after some quality free time for lunch (at your own expense), you can explore the village for yourself, walking through its paved lanes and beautiful alleys. You can also opt to take a 45 minute mini-cruise around the waterways of this famous village and discover why its been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This wonderful tour ends with safe transportation back to Marseille.
