Iriomote Island: Yubu Island Sightseeing & Customizable 1-Day Experience (SUP or Canoe/Snorkeling/Canyoning)

Very nice tour!!I planned to go to canyon but canceled because of the raining.But very lucky to meet with my snorkling guide Hotaru and canoe guide Shogo.It was a solo trip for me but they brought me kindness and happiness.Thanks for the photos you took for me,it’s really nice! I joined this snorkeling + Yubu Island day tour today. In the morning, the snorkeling session was led by a French staff member named Matthew. His English was excellent, and he explained everything in great detail and was very attentive. In the afternoon, the tour was led by a Japanese staff member named Kono. He was very funny and his English was quite good. He also worked hard to explain everything in detail. It was a very satisfying and happy day.

The trip with this guide was great. You can tell from the photos. The guide we had on Mangrove Island was also amazing. I don't know her name, but she was a woman... If I hadn't found my Ace Pro that I dropped there, it would have been the worst trip ever, but luckily I found it after some twists and turns. The visibility in the mangrove river isn't great, and the river isn't without currents, so if you drop something, you might not be able to find it. It would be good if the guide brought extra masks, or if individuals brought their own masks.

We joined canyoning in Iriomote Island, Seita San is our guide. Although there are almost Japanese members in this tour, Seita San still tried his best to give us clear guide with the key message of Iriomote Island information, jungle animals and canyoning introduction. We feel safe and fun during the activity thanks to his professional. He documented our activities carefully through photos and videos. We would strongly recommend Seita San’s guide for people who stay in Iriomote Island.

The weather wasn't great so we switched to mangrove canoeing. The staff were all friendly, kind, and had lovely smiles. Even though there was a language barrier, they still tried their best to let you know what was going on 😂. The weather changes a lot on Iriomote Island, so please bring a towel, change of clothes, and a light jacket. It might suddenly drizzle and then be sunny again when you go to Yubu Island.

The experience of canoeing through the mangroves was very special. Our instructor, Ryoma, provided detailed explanations and took great care of us. We were also able to stand in the mangroves and see various crabs, mudskippers, mangrove plants, and more, which was truly eye-opening.

Kenya was a thoughtful brother and he took care everyone during the kayaking activity! the lunch time is a little bit short and beware of the Ferry change ( might change port from Urehara to Orhara , it takes 1 more hour shuttle bus transit )

The tour was very fun! the tour guides are very friendly and detailed, even if you don’t speak Japanese, it’s still very easy and convenient.

Kayaking through the clear river and lush mangrove forests felt like being in a secret natural paradise. The water was calm, birds chirped, and insects sang, allowing me to completely relax. The water buffalo cart ride on Yubu Island was leisurely, and the island's pristine scenery was breathtaking. Our guide was professional and attentive, and the itinerary was well-paced without feeling rushed. The special seafood lunch was also delicious. The entire trip combined adventure, relaxation, and ecological exploration, giving me a deep appreciation for the charm of Okinawa! I highly recommend it to nature lovers, and I'd love to come back again.
