What to expect
It comes as no surprise that Weligama, with a name that means “sandy village”, is a big seaside village and surfing destination in Sri Lanka. Located just 45 minutes away from Galle, this gorgeous beach town can be the site of your unforgettable surfing experience. Through a lesson led by professional English speaking instructors, you and your group will learn the basics of surfing. Everything from how to paddle out to the crystal blue waters, how to seek out that perfect wave as it grows, and how to balance yourself on a board will be covered. No prior experience needed: it's a great opportunity for beginners to experience the exhilaration of surfing for the first time! Everything from surf boards to safety essentials will be provided, so all you have to worry about is making sure you have a great time out in the waters under the sun.
