The smooth journey allowed us to arrive at our destination safely
The journey from Nangan to Beigan takes about 15 minutes. The boat is very fast. When buying tickets on Klook, remember to go to the Hongyu counter at Fuao Port to exchange your documents for paper promissory notes, and then you can go to the F3 pier to board the boat. For the return trip from Beigan to Nangan, you need to exchange the ticket at the Hongyu counter in Baisha Port, and then board the ship directly. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Nangan Fuao Port. There is a place to rent motorcycles on the right side of the Baisha Port exit. In principle, it costs 500 yuan a day. Beigang is not big, so a motorcycle is enough. It is recommended to travel to the North and South Ponds together in a 3-day and 2-night itinerary.
It is very convenient to book tickets through Klook. You can use the QR code and your ID card to go to the counter to collect the ferry tickets. The ferry journey takes about 15 to 20 minutes, which is very fast.
I originally booked the 8:30 AM ferry from Nangan to Beigan, but the shop owner kindly allowed me to change to an earlier 7:30 AM ferry for free. It only takes 30 minutes to arrive in the morning, so I could start exploring before it got too hot. The flexibility was great!
The whole trip is quite comfortable and smooth. Watching the waves moving forward, the scenery passing by the island is beautiful. The crew will assist you in getting on and off the boat, and the suitcases can be placed on the deck without worrying about the included transportation services:
Because I booked the wrong date, I was told by the staff that I had booked the wrong date when I went to redeem it on site. I had to change the ticket purchase on site. However, because I purchased unused insurance, I could get a refund of 60% of the amount, which was a bit of a guarantee!
Because I booked the wrong date, the ticket office staff told me that I had booked the wrong date when I arrived, so I had to make up the ticket on the spot. However, because I purchased no-show insurance, I could get a 60% refund, which was a bit of a guarantee!
Booking online was very convenient. When my itinerary changed unexpectedly, the lady at the Beigan Pier service counter was very enthusiastic and kind in helping me with the ticket exchange. Thank you! 😊
You can also buy tickets directly at the pier, it's the same location. Buying in advance just ensures you won't miss out due to it being full.
