Reviews
This was a very special tour, and although it involved a considerable drive, it was definitely worth it. The memorial arranged for a specific English-speaking guide to take us around, which was a world apart from the usual audio tours. The guide not only explained things clearly but also helped us understand how contemporary people understand the existence of concentration camps from a geographical and community perspective. It turns out that there are also supporters of the concentration camps among the residents. The guide was also very emotional and able to stir historical emotions and resonate with the group members. Although she said it was only her fourth time leading an English tour, she was excellent. Unlike ordinary history museums, this place has an added sense of solemnity and brings a lot of reflection to people. Facing unpunished war criminals still living well, facing the hundreds of thousands of names who suffered in the concentration camps... it really makes people reflect on how heartbreaking the background of the war is!
This was a very detailed tour through an important part of history. Our guide was very considerate and knowledgeable. The tour ran on time. I just wish that other people on the tour had respect for the quiet spaces.
