Fantastic Very satisfied. After purchasing on Klook, I received my train tickets with seat assignments the next day. All I had to do was bring my passport to the train station. After the police checked my passport and luggage, I just waited to board the train. The train was fast and clean.

Fantastic If you plan to take train at Hongqiao train station, allow plenty of time, as you would do at the airport. Arrive at least 1 hour early to queue up for security checking, for ID checking and find the right departure gate and also with the notice board might indicate changes of departure gate at the last minute. Being senior age, we were given first boarding and staff helped scanning our passport without any issue.

Entry and exit is via our passports, arrive an hour earlier to do the ID checks counter (manual lane -for passports)/clearance checks for bags. Easy to locate the counter for specific train - boarding time is usually 15mins before departure. Highly recommended to book first class but comfort level of the ride depends which train is assigned for the route-some are newer and cleaner, while some are old & not very clean.
