We booked the day tour to Saqqara with Serapeum, Memphis and Dashur with a private guide. The team at 'Go Travel ' was outstanding from the start. We were sent great information, relevant to all aspects and topics for our first trip to Egypt. We could not have asked for a better guide. We met our guide, Mohamed Abdel Lateef aka ' Mo', and we felt an instant personal connection. His love and passion for all things Egypt was exactly what we were looking for. His English was fantastic and on point. His devotion to deliver a personal tour with emotion and connection never failed throughout the day. Our tour ran into overtime, and Mo could have just dropped us back to the hotel. Instead he asked if we wanted to go shopping for souvenirs. We stopped at a papyrus shop in which he had no affiliation and waited whilst we purchased dream gifts. We even received a follow up call from his boss Mostafa asking how the day went, and our future plans for our holiday. An 11/10 day we will never forget.
1. We were forced to arrange three shopping tours. We were told that we didn't need them, but we stayed anyway. 2. The tour guide didn't introduce much. He took us to a place and let us go in and see it by ourselves. 3. The price of this activity was too high, and we felt that the tip was not enough after we gave it. The tip was 20% of the quoted price. 4. Don't include the tickets. You can buy them yourself. It's cheaper than the tour guide buying them for us. 5. Overall, this activity is not worth the price.
Good to know
- What will your Tour guide do: •Meet you at your address for pickup and escort you to the sites until end of visits. •Purchase or scan the purchased tickets at every entrance gate. •Explain each history site archaeologically. •Answer your questions on everything about the visit and in general. •Suggest restaurants nearby for lunch. •Can take the memorable photos at awesome backgrounds. •Help you for shopping original souvenirs at trusted shops and bargaining its price. •Teach you few words to stop expected hassles and will definitely be with you.
- What your Driver Will do: •Be available for you on time and pickup location. •Drive safely and professionally from the pickup until tour ends. •Return you to your requested destination when the tour ends.
- What I will do: •Upon receiving your booking, auto booking is enabled then i start hiring best available expert tour guide and modern suitable vehicle with good driver. •Buy your tickets in advance (if included) so you won’t wait in the line and I will forward copy of the tickets to your tour guide on whatsApp. •Send you detailed confirmation (24 hrs before your tour day) to your WhatsApp.
