be prepared for long bus ride and can be tiring. venice is beautiful. only need to walk quite far for the optional gondola ride.
It’s a very long day tour but worth it. They have a prompt start and the almost 3-hour drive was cruisey with 2 drivers taking turns but the turnover was very quick and only took a minute or so. Aside from the brief walking tour around Venice, our guide also arranged for us a 25-min gondola ride (optional) for an additional fee. The transfers are organised as well with appropriate toilet breaks. It’s definitely a good way to see Venice with a tight schedule or if you do not wish to stay there for the night (or two).
Overall it is good experience to be in Venice. it was unlucky that was rainy day that the tour guide couldn't arrange the boat ride for us. We can only get it by our own!
posting this on the way back to Milan on this horrible highway jam. would be happy to reach back before 10pm making it a 15 hr day trip! overall was ok but rather rushed. would be better to visit there on your own and spend a night there to explore more. gondola ride was short but ok as out gondolier was entertaining. guide needs to be more interactive and friendly. looked too stern and detached.
You need to arrive at the meeting point very early and wait. There are tour buses from other groups on-site, so be careful to identify the correct one. Each group has about 30 people. The bus ride is quite long, but there are rest stops along the way where you can shop and use the restroom. The tour guide on the bus provides information in English and Spanish, but keeps it concise to allow everyone to rest. After getting off the bus, you need to take a boat into Venice. The tour guide on the boat will point out major buildings. Once in the city, the tour guide separated the group into English and Spanish tours, and showed us a few key locations. After about half an hour, we were given free time. The time spent on the island is about 3 to 4 hours, and we need to gather at 15:50 to leave. The tour guide repeatedly emphasized the importance of being on time, and reiterated the meeting point several times, because they won't wait if you're late, as it's not a private tour. Some people paid extra to take a gondola ride (30 euros), which required them to meet at 14:10. If you want lunch, there's practically no time to explore the city. Overall, I was satisfied with the trip, except for the somewhat long bus ride, but that's unavoidable. I had previously looked at taking the train, which also takes 2.5 hours and costs nearly 1000 HKD round trip, without any guided commentary, so I highly recommend this tour. Next time I have the opportunity to visit Milan, I might take the Cinque Terre tour.
We booked a day trip from Milan to Venice and overall it was a very good experience. The tour was well organised and easy to follow, making it a convenient way to see Venice within a limited timeframe. As expected with a day trip, time in Venice was quite limited, so the visit felt a bit rushed. However, we still managed to explore key areas and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the city. There was also some free time to browse and shop in the small traditional shop houses, which added a nice local touch to the experience. It is advisable to carry cash when visiting, as some of the smaller shops may not accept card payments. Overall, a worthwhile and enjoyable tour, especially for travellers short on time.
It requires a very long commute from Milan, but it is also a good choice for travelers who want a simple experience and unlock the unique charm of Venice.
Well, Venice is very nice . however, if you’re not good in Italian or Spanish, Be prepared to be struggling to listen to the English that the tour guide articulated. I felt that the instruction given by the tour guide could have been better, or at least he could provide us his WhatsApp or any social media number to allow us to contact him if we get lost during one of the multiple meet up point. there are several points throughout the whole trip however, none of them is clear. we end up, missing the trip and not able to board the ferry back to Milan. we have to find our own Transport back. most of time spent on the trip is in the bus ride from Milan to Venice, which I felt that isn’t really very comfortable.
a good taste of venice. the tour started on time. tour guide was nice.
Thanks to our guide monicca, we had a comfortable and wonderful trip! The colorful pastel-colored buildings can only be seen on the Burano Island tour, and we cannot see them on this trip. Nevertheless, Venice was a beautiful city, and the gondola ride was also great. Thank you, guide monicca!
