I made a reservation in a hurry the evening before the tour, but there was no place to input the pickup location, so I thought they would contact me early the next day... but since I didn't get a call in the morning, I called the company. The staff member spoke a little Korean, which was surprising. Haha. They wanted to pick me up in front of a restaurant, not a hotel, so after confirming, I went out on time, but they came 30 minutes late. I was worried about when they would come or if they missed me, but I still got on. Honestly, I was annoyed. The floating village tour is a short course, and it's their home, so I felt bad but also amazed about just looking at it. If you pay an additional 6 dollars, you can take a small boat into a place like a forest, which was so amazing and had a dreamlike feeling. Even the group that didn't take pictures were taking pictures like crazy here. It was so awesome!!!
A pleasant surprise in terms of the natural beauty and local cultural exposure... enjoyed the additional mangrove boat ride too. if you have time, definitely go for it.
My experience with them has been fabulous. I did two tours and both the guides -David and Makara- and the drivers -Mark- have been spectacular. You learn a lot of things and they make sure you have a very pleasant trip.
cheaper on travel advisor! trip was good. small boat not included for $11 can go in mangroves. transfer from hotel to boat wasn't. saw alot of stuff.
A really nice experience to see the floating village and learn about the culture whilst basking in the beautiful sunset on Tonle Sap lake
this was overall a very smooth and enjoyable experience visiting tonle sap, the mangrove forest, and Kampung Khluk for the first time! the hotel pickup and dropoff was a big plus for me apart from the friendly guide who is also a villager from one of the villages nearby tonle sap. one thing that could be improved is mentioning on the page where the hotel pickup is from (siem reap of phnom peng) and the additional charge of $11 per boat for the mangrove forest tour so my friend and I can plan for this beforehand. but overall, I felt like I learned a lot about the village life on the lake and I am glad to be able to contribute to the ecotourism of this magical place with beautiful people.
one of my favorite activities in Cambodia! the guide was really nice. he offered us free mangoes that he grew from his own backyard and even bought us more fruits from locals! i learned a lot from this excursion. please make sure to tip the locals when you can! It would help them a lot.
The minibus picked me up at the hotel on time. The tour guide was very professional and polite. He answered all my questions. I went boating in the mangroves. It was so beautiful. It was a pity that I didn't see the sunset due to the weather.
The enthusiastic guide's guidance and explanation, kindly guided us so that we could tour sufficiently, and guided us as a guide until the end, cool water and cookies were provided, and we had a great tour. I would like to recommend this as an efficient day tour with great cost-effectiveness.
was a good experience to see the floating village…it’s good to see the stilts but sad at the same time. great eye opener.
